I used to listen to classical music every night while I slept.
But then I started getting intense, vivid nightmares from it... the crazy mood changes in the music, the crescendos, etc... it was too much for my imagination lol
Now, I admit that I rarely listen to it. But I do on occasion.

I listen to it when I want to relax. And its good for doing work. I can't listen to music with words when I'm doing work or I'll get confused.

Sometimes. Used to be in marching band so I developed a taste for it. Can't say I can have a non-stop diet of it, but yeah.

Every now and then but it's rare. In the car I usually listen to NPR and when I'm running I listen to Techno or something with a hard beat. If I listen to classical it's usually with my bf because he enjoys listening to it when he works from home.

I do when I am extremely stressed out and really need to relax.

I'm somewhere between "sometimes" and "rarely". I have a few dozen Classical songs in my iTunes, but that's out of around 6,000 songs.

I've been playing the violin since age 6, so-- yes! All the time.

I have to be in the right mood for it but when I am I listen to it for a loong time
03/05/2011
When I need to concentrate or calm down. Which is... you know. Often.

I love classical music. It tells many stories, without needing words to convey them. It is a dying art, though. It is unfortunate people today have no connection with people of the past. It is also the only music that is based on mathematics(algorithms ).

Absolutely! I play it on my viola too! I used to go to the CSO or the ESO bi-yearly.

i dont anymore. I did when I was pregnant and when my daughter was first born.

I rarely do but there's a few good classical songs out there I listen to once in a while.

I LOVE classical music. I agree that it is kind of a dying art. Its beautiful! My favorite is the Moonlight Sonata movement #3.

I'm a music history major, so I usually don't listen to it outside of school b/c I need to change things up

It's not my thing

I listen to a lot of movie scores. It's 80-90 % of my iPod content.

Yep! This exactly. Not just marching band but in our Symphonic band as well. I really love it, but I rarely listen to it. Most music motivates me one way or another, and classical doesn't relax me at all. I spend too much time listening to all the different parts, figuring out the instruments used in solo parts, etc. It's a very edifying, but involved process for me to listen to it.

I love Bach (Johann, not PDQ) and Mozart and occasionally Beethoven. I love the Brandenburg Concerto by Bach.

I do every now and then...nothing all that specific though.

From time to time. I prefer to hear it mixed in with a rock tune over the longer original versions most of the time tho. Not necessarily a classical piece specifically, but the sound of the string instruments.
I go to one of the local symphony groups a few times a year with my husband and his parents, and I really enjoy those.

I used to listen to more in the past but now I read a lot more and just like silence.

Only at home, for some reason I can't deal with it in my car.

I used to listen to it more often... I sometimes still do...
Makes me wanna here some now... Moonlight Sonata here I come...
