I love sleeping under a ceiling fan no matter what time of year, but my wife doesn't. She says it causes her allergies to act up so I do without.
Do you like to have air blowing on you when you sleep?

I do like it when they are on.

Thats one of the downfalls to ceiling fans as the blades collect and dispence dust particles. If you cleaned it more often (as much of a pain it can be) do you think she may be okay with it on more often?

I try and clean off my fan once i notice any sort of particle buildup, and i'll throw a pillow case over the blade and wipe the dust of, and if i happen to be vacuuming i'll to the blades as well.

No! I hate it. I don't have AC, so in the summer I need about 4 different fans but I'm still sleeping with a sheet on because it feels like someone is constantly touching me. Not okay, right?

I bought little stick on filters for the blades of my ceiling fan, plus I always have an air filter running & all the other anti-allergy stuff I do. Love the pillow case tip, bratcat! Good way to contain any dust. In between, like everyday or every other, try using a swiffer duster with the handle! It makes it fast & easy, unless you have more buildup, then it can't hold it all.

Martiniman & anyone else that is interested in filters that go onto your ceiling fan blades, here's a google search link. (If you want the brand I used, you can PM me.) link in case the link doesn't work, just search for "ceiling fan filters"

I always need air blowing in the room. It doesn't necessarily have to be on me.

I NEED the sound of the fan all year long, but my husband is usually the one that gets the air blown on him.
04/26/2013
I have to have the ceiling fan on high and a box fan on high. The sound helps me sleep.
04/26/2013
I like it when I falling asleep, but I often waking up and move the fan or blanket up.
04/26/2013
We have a fan on year round, we like the air movement and noise...plus I'm always hot!

It's hard to sleep the first cool days of fall without my fan but I get used to it. When things warm up and it's time for the fan come out,I lose a little sleep the first week. That transition takes about a week

I need it. C doesn't mind, and his ceiling fan is just enough so I don't need a box fan at his place.

I usually have one on. I don't like having the AC or heater on all night, just because I'm only ever using one room in the house. Feels like a waste, so I'll use a fan or space heater.
05/02/2013
yes I sleep better in the cold and the noise helps me sleep
05/02/2013
no, i tried it but i can't fall asleep if i can feel wind on my face.
