Animals!
Do you like animals or people better?

A lot of the time neither

I like people better

Animals, hands down. People are usually just a let down.

Animals mostly.

If I'm at a party, I will find the nearest pet and hang out with it. I'm socially awkward, so I like animals more usually. They don't expect me to make small talk.

I love my pets dearly and I generally like both people and animals, but those people that act like animals I despise!

...Both? Certain animals do hurt eachother intentionally for purposes other than food, like dolphins and chimps. Dolphins can be pretty nasty really. I always hated that 'animals are pure people are evil' stuff. I am a person, I like a lot of other people. I like animals too

animals> people

They're always honest; they never lie and let you down. When I was left at home alone as a 5 year old and up, my only companions were my pets who I loved so dearly. Every single person in my life has let me down, except my husband. I'm sick of people. I don't want to try to be sociable and make friends anymore. It's a waste of effort because they'll just leave or mistreat me in the end.

Animals don't judge. People do.

In theory, when I'm a home, I think I like people. Then I go out into the world day to day and see how rude and dumb people act...and I'm glad that my pets are at home waiting for me.

I said animals, but really I love my kiddos too much. My kids may hurt my feelings sometime in the future, but I will love them for life. I couldn't pick an animal over my babies!!!

There seems to me no way compare the two. The list of social cues which are impossible to fulfill from animals which are provided through human interaction is almost endless.

Animals are good companions as pets, but they can't share events with you or seek and provide advice.
One thing that I feel strongly about, is that animals become easily victimized by people who try to use their companionship to fill the voids in their lives brought by through human social inability.
It appears most often with animal hording.
Animals can't always run away nor can they notice.."Hey this person is creepy or weird or dumb or has bad hygiene.", or "This person has so many critters here I have a good chance of starving or dying of disease." In other words, animals don't have the sense or realization of their owners that people have of each other.
Some people surround themselves with pets because they can't make friends or have a hard time keeping friends due to social disorders. I have a tendency to over-invest myself in people, and that drives a lot of my friends away, but I wouldn't trade the entering and leaving of people in my life for the loyalty of animals ever.
People are very interesting and provide so much more than most people realize.

Actually the unconditional love that my dog gives me is great, but I still need people.
