I have an ulcer, so I have to watch what I eat. I can't eat red meat or pork, but I do eat chicken and fish. I also tend to stay away from fried stuff.

No dairy, no shellfish, I rarely eat corn or corn products, or barley. All allergies. I'm so hard to feed. I've been to parties where everything is either covered in cheese or shellfish. I've actually made dinners from crackers. (I hate to say anything, so we usually leave early from parties like this.) People don't get that a lot of people simply can't eat things like cheese, milk etc. But, I don't expect people to cater to me. When my oldest daughter had a wheat intolerance (which she luckily outgrew) I brought her own food to people's houses. She is also dairy intolerant, so I couldn't expect people to cater to her needs, I DID it, as I felt it was MY job.

I try to have a good mix of everything possible when we have company. The only thing I can't do is to make everything on the table "no gluten." It's very difficult and most people who can eat gluten won't touch gluten free foods, so I do ask those who are gluten free to bring their own. Unless they want to make a meal of what is there. A potato and some meat would be good, then I have friends who say they are gluten intolerant (but haven't had a small bowel biopsy, and their only symptoms are "fatigue" so I'm skeptical) and then don't want to eat meat, I have NO idea what to serve them. Maybe that "foam" that Thomas Keller has on his tasting menu? I'm good with food and I'm stumped. "Here, I have apples." "Oh, they are organic and free range apples, aren't they? You didn't wash them in chlorine infused water, did you?" (Me, running screaming out the front door.) (OK, I'm exaggerating, but I come from a long line of Crunchy People....)
It can be exhausting these days, as everyone is on a different diet. I can totally understand if someone has allergies or gets sick from a certain food, but some people go through phases where they are so far out there, and some of my friends are "guessing" instead of finding out medically, I wonder how they get enough to eat at all.
Allergies and food intolerance are serious issues, one should find out medically before eliminating foods from the diet. I know this from LOTS of experience.,

I don't follow any specific diet, other than 1 day every morning to kick start my metabolism some and grape juice with most/every meal to put fat in the right places (to be burnt) instead of storage. I try to limit myself from the 'bad' stuff though. This is a recent change, and I hope to keep it going.

Anything, but I try to go for balance! Most of the time I achieve it.

I have people who cant have tree nuts and peanuts. so we have to watch what we have in the house. I have some things with nuts, just for me. I have to be careful with it so my little boy does not get any.
