I'm atheist as well and have identified as such since early high school. I find myself being involved with other people's religion more in recent years than ever though, so I can't openly say I'm atheist to some people.

I'm a Christian, but don't attend church anymore.

I'm sort of between religions at the moment, though no matter what religion I am I still celebrate Christian holidays (the rest of the family is Christian...so it's sort of mandatory).
I keep wishing I had all the answers, I mean this religion says you'll go to hell (or an equivalent) if you follow anything else, that religion says pretty much the same thing...I guess I just don't know what to believe anymore.
I'm leaning towards a mix of: my own ideas about religion, Wicca, and Christianity though.

No religion for me

I believe in something and call it God because I grew up with the word, but I don't believe in religion.

I was raised a Roman Catholic but consider myself non-religious. I'm a lesbian, and my family's religion (Well my dad's side anyway.) doesn't appreciate that nor the fact that I want to be able to marry my girlfriend.
I happily celebrate Christmas though, because for me it's about family, not religion. Could care less about the other religious holidays though.

I'm an Atheist. Some argue that it's a religion of its own though.

I have been given the title of Catholic since I was born. As I have aged, I've have been to many different churches in my life. I'm probably going to offend some Christian people and I don't mean to. It seemed the more I went to church I learned that most people are hypocrites. It is sad but I don't feel comfortable in a church setting. I pray often for my family, health and healing of others. I agree with you.. It is overwhelming and who needs to attend a church to believe and have faith. The place I really feel most comfortable praying at The grave yard, it may seem odd but I pray and talk( in my head, of course). I sit at my grandparents grave that is where I find and enjoy the peace and serenity.

I completely agree with you.. Your religion doesn't define who you are spiritually...
