In the last few months, the hubby and I have made several trips to different cities, mainly to try out restaurants. I guess you could say we are foodies. We've been to Chicago, Cleveland, and most recently Cincinnati. I would say it's definitely been worth it, since Columbus has a glut of chain restaurants. Just wondering how many others make out-of-town trips for dinner or food-centered weekend trips.
Do you ever go out of town for dinner?

Our favorite Chinese Restaurant is over an hour away. We make the trip every couple of months.

My entire county is pretty much "out-of-town" for me (it's 72 miles long by 30 miles wide). The better restaurants are out of my "census-designated area", and my friends live 25 miles south of me - guess where I end up eating out when it happens.

Out of town? Yes, a few times. Out of state? Not so much.

Only every other year I do

Because I live in a very small town (that doesn't really have anything), we DO have to go out of town for dinner every time.

Yes, we have some favorite places in nearby towns.

Yes. Sometimes we go into the city (Downtown Vancouver) to go somewhere new for dinner. They have some really great places to eat there.

No, but I'm far from a foodie. I generally think of eating as a necessary evil. lol I love sweets, but not enough to travel to get them.
11/20/2012
We do but that's mainly because there are no decent restaraunts here.
11/20/2012
best places to eat are 30 min away so we always go out of town to eat
11/20/2012
We travel often for shopping, dining out, etc.

I have not but it would be nice. I don't have a vehicle to do that anyways at the moment.

We so do this. If you go to Cleveland, and like Mexican. Si Senor!! It's fantastic and the service is wonderful at the one my Fairview Hospital.

We travel out of town a lot to go to dinner

I've traveled out of town a lot to go to a friend of the family's restaurant.

When my cousin got his pilot's license, he flew me and my dad to a town that is a couple hundred miles away to get lunch and came back that afternoon. It was really cool.
11/20/2012
Yes, we like to try new places.
11/20/2012
Technically yes because in order to really eat out I have to leave my town. we only have one little restaurant here. 10 mile drive to nearest town to get to fast food or a real restaurant
11/20/2012
My brother does that. I used to occasionally with my sister. We want to do that in Europe one day. Seems fun.
11/20/2012
Yes, I make a habit of it!

Yes. I love food

Yes, we always drive to neighboring counties in search of good restaurants.

We go out, but often just get it to go. He eats so damn fast that it leaves me with him staring at me while I try to finish my food. It makes for a very unpleasant evening, and he's made no efforts to slow down, only says that he can't.

We rarely go out but when we do, we usually go out of state We live on the border of our state though, so it's not as bad as it sounds.
