I just eat kids as meals. Ok maybe not I haven't had a kids meal in forever but that's cause I would never feel like it would be enough food to make it so I wasn't hungry and I don't want to be a Cow and by 7 just for me
Do you eat "kids" meals when you go out?

I've never understood this either! Like jesus, we're gonna pay for it. I'd think it'd be better to take our money and make us happy (higher chance we'll come again, too) than be kids menu nazis and crush our grilled cheese and chicken tender dreams.

You don't have a grilled cheese sandwich anywhere else and that's what I'm fucking in the mood for! lol

Last time I had this problem was at Ihop. The Denny's we go to usually lets me order off the kids menu unless we have a new waiter, which seems to be once a month now.

lol Two peas in a pod, I tell ya! It's just such a stupid policy, in my opinion. It essentially forces people to overeat and pay a higher price per portion and I think I should be able to choose what I want to spend and not walk out feeling like I ate the Goodyear Blimp.

Yep! One restaurant we used to go to had chicken strips as an appetizer and there were five of them (why is it always an uneven number??) in the serving, so hubs would order a burger and fries and I'd get the appetizer, have them bring it out together and he would eat three strips, half the burger and I would get the remainder.

I've been known to do this from time to time, usually at the movie theater when I just want a little bit, the kid popcorn/candy/soda is so much more reasonable than even the "normal" smalls.

not enough food in the kids meal for me.
12/02/2011
Nope
12/03/2011
Heck yes I eat kid's meals and heck yes I do it for the toys.
12/04/2011
Just imagine if meals came with free sex toys.
12/04/2011
I order them for my kids all the time (money saver), and usually finish what is left from their's if I'm still hungry.
12/04/2011
I only do it with fast food. I was a server before, and HATED it when adults tried to order the kids' meals off of the menu. It typically meant less money for me, for the same amount of work
12/04/2011
I like the sizes of kid's meals, but often they cost more than slightly larger adult meals.
12/04/2011
I use to go for the kids meal if I wanted the toy.
12/05/2011
If the toy is cool, but for the most part if the place has a dollar menu that is what I order off of.

To be honest, I don't particularly like the taste of the Happy Meals but here I am, two days in a row eating it for a Hello Kitty toy that is pretty much a piece of junk anyway.
I can't possibly be the only one who does this, right? RIGHT?! less

I love kids meals, they're much better portion sizes and if the toy is cool too it's even better. :3
Besides, if you eat said kids meal and you're still hungry you can always go home and have a salad.

I'll order a kid's meal on occasion simply because they have appropriate sized portions for adults. Adult portions are ridiculous.

I do, if I'm not that hungry.
05/17/2012
Sometimes! It really depends on how hungry I am and the deal. I have a little girl who I've gotten the toys for. For the most part, it's cheaper just to buy off of the value menu and then purchase a toy separately than to buy the kids meal.

I don't eat them but my wife gets them all the time.
05/17/2012
Yes, it's the proper portion size most times and I want the toy. I used to run the over night shift at McD's, and I took home sooooo many toys. I was sad this year when My Little Ponies came back and I didn't know anyone who worker there anymore, so I only got 3 of the toys.
05/17/2012
If it has a toy that I think my kids will like, I'll get one along with my meal just for fun. And yes, if I'm hungry enough, I'll eat that meal too, I have the appetite and the metabolism of a football team.
