I clip them and file them, but NEVER bite them. Not because I'm picky about my nails, but I am picky about my teeth. And bacteria....

In the last year or so i finally stopped bitting my nails, and it only took some 20 plus years to do so! Since letting them grow i've been trying hard to maintain them and properly care for them, doing a cuticle massage weekly as well as clipping them with clippers then filing down the rough edges.
I want to have long beautiful nails some day, and im really starting to think its a goal i can accomplish. Now if only i could say the same for my hair!

I kind of just peel them off . I really can't be bothered with proper manicures.

i bite them unless i have on fake nails,i do all the time though

I file them. Clipping seems to take off more than I want, because I file them afterwards anyways. I have to keep them short for work.

Im lazy about it, normally I wait for a nail to break then i file the broken one then have to cut the others to match.

i don't cut my nails. when i was a kid i used to bite my nails and it really hurt when they were short so i decided i wasn't going to bite them anymore. it worked and i stopped cutting my nails too. i let them grow until they break.

in high school i took a pottery class which is the only time i've cut my nails since i was a kid.

I file my nails because I need to shape them so they look the same. Each of my fingernails grow differently.

I clip if I need to shorten a lot of length at once, but I always file afterwards to smooth out the edges. If I get a snag, or need to do some small shaping, I only file. I bit a snagged nail once or twice when growing up & there were no clippers or files around. Biting is just not for me; I like the edges smooth so they don't scratch or snag on things.

I'm trying to grow out my nails, so I actually file them, now!
(AND put pretty polish on them, now, too! )
