I used to have my cell phone with me any time I left the house. I never carried it with me while at home. I figured it was no big deal if I missed an occasional call or text. I didn't even take it to bed at night. Recently, a close family member had a medical emergency and I've been keeping my phone with me all the time for fear of missing an important call from the hospital. This got me thinking what everyone else usually does.
Do you carry your cellphone at all times?

But, now I carry it with me if I'm going somewhere in case someone needs to get a hold of me. I've always toted it from room to room in the house, though. I have difficulty hearing the alerts when I'm in "multi-task" mode.

I ALWAYS have my phone with me since mu mum doesn't have a home phone any more. I always like people to be able to reach me.

There have been emergencies, so I understand the need, but I hate that the phone has turned into a form of electronic tether. I get calls and texts all the time, and people get angry when I don't pick up or immediately text back (even though I'm driving, or in the library, or at the doctor's office, etc.)

We just had our land line canceled so my cell (and the wife's) are all that we have. When I am home my cell sits right beside my laptop (It is beside my chair) with the ringer turned up all the way. This is also where I charge it since I can hook it to my laptop. If I leave the house for anything I take it with me, even if I am just going out to the garage or to do yard work.

We still have a landline for the house. I do my best to remember to take my phone with me when I leave, but fail quite frequently. I guess that makes me a happy sloth. I'm fine with that.

I have mine on me at all times. Either in my pocket or by my side.
05/26/2012
My phone is with me pretty much 24/7, 365 days a year
05/26/2012
I don't use mine much at all. I never have it on me in the house and usually only have it on me when I leave.

AWW SLOTHY!
I have mine with me at all times, in the house or not, unless on the rare occasion I forget it in another room. Sometimes, I will forget it at home if I go out to the store, but that is very rare, and I feel awkward without it!
I only use it for texting, but I don't feel comfortable without it, in case of emergencies!

Oftentimes friends complain that I'm not answering, and oftentimes that's because I've left my phone in my room, haha. I carry it religiously when I go out though, in case somebody needs to get in touch with me, and I use it as a watch as well, so..!
05/26/2012
I keep my phone with me, as long as I'm wearing something with a pocket...LOL. If not, it's always near by. I don't have a house phone line, so I keep it with me at home also.
05/26/2012
My apartment is small so it doesn't have to be on me for me to hear it ring. I find that it's impossible for me to leave the house without it.

I keep my cell always nearby but I'm in total agreement with you. I don't like that people expect to be able to reach me at all times. Personally, I like being inaccessible at times. Solitude is a good thing from time to time!

I keep my cell handy for my convenience, not so someone can reach me in the middle of the night to discuss something unimportant that could have waited until the next time they see me!

I try to keep mine charged, on and nearby at all times. I too have family members who may have medical emergencies at any moment, and I want to be easily reachable in those moments. Plus, I'll get calls for jobs which I like to be able to respond too. My cellphone has caller ID too, so I don't have to answer it if I don't want to.
What a cute sloth!

Sometimes I leave my cell at home so I can disconnect
05/26/2012
I keep mine with me most of the time, I don't carry it on me at work but its there in my purse, at home its always with me, I use it as a main phone line, alarm clock and main internet device.
05/26/2012
I don't carry my phone around the house, but I do have it in a central location where I can hear it from most rooms. No landline, so our cell phones are our only phones.
I only turn my phone off and stash it away when I'm at work. We're not permitted to have cell phones while we're on the clock, which is fine, because anyone who may have an emergency reason to contact me knows my work number. Everyone else can wait until I'm done for the day.

I usually carry it with me wherever I go, whether I'm inside the house or out and about. When I'm at home I'll usually bring it from room to room and it'll be within arms reach because I'm texting. When I'm out it's either in a pocket or my purse.

When I'm at work I have my phone in my pocket. But when I'm home I usally leave it next to my purse. I have missed calls and texts while at home, but I don't worry about it much. Then I charge it everynight on my nightstand.

I'm attached to my phone just about 24/7. Sad but true.
05/26/2012
i am attached with my phone i take it every where.

I take my cell phone with me most of the time.

my cell phone, like this sloth, is always near at hand.
05/26/2012
I take my iPhone with me mostly everywhere. When I'm in my house, it's normally near me but not always.
