CURSING/CUSSING

I cuss when I'm angry. But where I work someone is always saying a cuss word. Just part of nature of where I work. Oh I work at a hardware store.

I do but, I try to be more conservative around some people. Plus, I'm really trying to break the habit of cussing too much.

I curse all day every day. Okay, maybe not so much-- but enough that it's in my normal vocab.

I do it a lot. I was too repressed as a child and not allowed to use "bad words" ever even when angry so now I just use them all the time, lol.
I feel like most of the words that were "cuss words" when I grew up are no longer that naughty. Most people around me use these words all the time. I think new words are going to have to come out, or I won't have anything left to say when I'm really angry LOL!

It's a cultural thing for us. I (hubby) am from a Port City in NW England and we use swear words as words to link others together in sentences, lol. I also use them for emphasis. My wife, who's NC born and bred very rarely swears though and prefers to do what I call Happy Days swearing, saying things like Gosh and Darn it. She'll do it when pushed, but I'll do it even when I'm saying something like "Ahhh, we're out of fucking milk"

I do reign it in around people I don't know though. Funnily enough, what people over here seem to consider shocking (Jesus Christ, God damn it) are pretty innocent to us back home and not considered swearing at all. I remember meeting one of the wife's friends not long after coming over here. The husband was telling one of his kids (about 9 years old) that he needed to "get off his fucking ass and cut the goddammn grass". His wife shouted at him telling him not to use 'GD' in her home with no mention of swearing in front of the kids or talking to them that way! (Oh and we're no longer friends with them, lol)

I usually only use cuss when needing a good adjective.
