Are you good at public speaking?

Turns out I am, despite being shy and an introvert. I think it came from doing drama courses through high school and college. Whenever I was part of a group project in my other classes, I was the one sent up to do the presentation because it would horrify everyone else to do it.
I was recently singled out for it at a workshop when we were performing mock interviews as an exercise; the workshop leader was impressed with my "strengths" example of giving presentations which resulted in the class hearing a short dissertation about presentation and public speaking from me. Then there was a clamor to have a public speaking workshop with me leading it ...
I probably could make a living at teaching the shy and introverted to do such things. I understand public speaking is a greater fear than death.

It's something I absolutely hate doing, but if I'm really familiar/comfortable with the material I can do a decent job of it.

I'm like the most out-spoken person out there, apparently! My friends usually have me speak up XD

Depends on if it is on a subject I like. I fall apart if I don't give a shit about what I am talking about.

I've been told that I'm an extremely skilled speaker-- but I always inwardly get so nervous and hate doing it!

Maybe in front of a few friends, but definitely not in front of strangers!

Luckily my job does not require it. I think I would probably throw up if I had to.

I took classes when I was a teen on public speaking. I did well for a little while, but I think I would mostly choke at this point.

I am not good at public speaking. Never have been.
01/18/2013
I am. You get used to it as you do it more. The panic will go away.

strangely, yes, even though I'm pretty shy and really horrible at socializing. Something about standing up in front of people who are being quiet and listening to me is so much easier than trying to find my opening in a conversation! Plus there is usually time to prepare for a speech!

I not super good, but I can handle it.

I used to be good with getting up in front of people and talking when I was still in school but I haven't done it in so long that I've lost a bit of confidence.

I hate hate HATE public speaking but if I'm talking about something I enjoy or know a lot about, I am pretty good at public speaking.

Most of the time I'm not. I hate public speaking. Sometimes it's ok if I know the information backwards and forwards and the audience is not intimidating.

I hate doing it but am very good at speaking. Probably from bartending and dealing with the public....

I prefer talking to large groups of people than just 1 or 2 people lol weird I know

Definitely not and I've taken the Dale Carnegie Coruse of How to Win Friends and Influence people and multiple Professional Development classes at work. I'm still nervous even in meetings when I'm not the leader or Facilitator. I usually just sit there and nod my head. I hate conflicts and am always afraid to be embarressed or say something stupid in front of others. Matter of fact I stay quiet in family gatherings especially.

No, I get panic attacks thinking about it, and when I'm speaking I start shaking and blushing and my mind goes blank.

It depends if I have practiced. I'm only bad because of tripping over words. I don't get stage fright.

I am weirdly good at public speaking, even though I am usually awkward and am completely socially inept.
I had the highest grade in my speech class, and one day I was walking across the humanities parking lot at my school when my speech teacher honked at me from her car which was halfway across the lot and yelled to me that I rock....it was strange.
