Are you a "toy snob"?

That's the biggest issue I have. Silicone toys are my favorites, and silicone lubes are so wonderful. The hybrid ones are also really, really nice. You have to pick and choose when it comes to this. I always get frustrated because I love silicone toys for anal. I would never buy anything else, because I really want something that I can sterilize. Silicone lubes are amazing for anal play. It's no fair. I wish they could resolve their differences and just get along.

It depends for me. If I'm looking for a specific toy for my needs, I am a bit of a snob, but not a terrible one. I have no problem with TPR, for instance. When it comes to assignments, I'm more flexible. I won't do latex, jelly or Sil-A-Gel, but aside from that, I'm willing to try new things and willing to "take one for the team" when it comes to sampling products and writing reviews.

But, for my own purchases, I prefer higher quality materials, LOTS of power (if it's a powered toy) and I have.... size preferences.

But, when it comes to books, hell yeah, I'm not just a snob, I'm a bitch. I DO NOT like poorly written books, books with an agenda different than what the title and back cover tells us the book is about, I don't like "BDSM" stories that are mushy love stories with a half page of non-specific sex, I don't like descriptive or "educational" sex books that don't do either of these well. In fact, a few of the more "honored" sex writers are far from my favorites, after reading some of their more agenda based or, worse, boring stuff.

Oh man. I'm the same way with books. I want a book to tell me 100% of what I want to know if super specific detail, but not be a boring read. I also hate books with a bias. Opening Up was that way for me and I wanted to throw it out the window.

If something works for me, I will opt for the tried and true, regardless of price (to a degree).

Yup, EF has definitely taught me to prefer quality toys. If that makes me a snob, then a snob I am.

The more I buy, the more snobby I become about them.

I have become somewhat of a toy snob, but if a cheap toy gets really good reviews I'll most likely purchase it.

it depends. if it is a new type of toy, i do not mind buying a cheaper one to try it and see if that type will work for us. Then buy a nicer one if we like how it worked.

I found out right away after I bought a jelly piece of crap that I love silicone and have many silicone toys and prefer that. I just recently discovered and fell in love with glass so I believe I am becoming more and more of a toy snob. I do have 2 TPR toys that I like a lot and since I don't share I am okay with that since there performance is wonderful. But otherwise I want safe luxurious materials.

I generally want the best, but I can't always afford it. And sometimes the toys I want or that are the functionality I want aren't the safest materials.

I'm sort of new to the game, but color, design, and other aesthetics are important to me.

It really depends on what it's for. I am that way more so about insertables or impact implements, but external vibrators, not so much.

I guess I'm kind of a toy snob. I only want my toys to be made of super safe materials (silicone, glass, wood, stainless steel - although I'll buy things that contain plastic if they are high quality. I also only buy rechargeable or plug in vibes.

Agreed, quality trumps quantity every time and I'm willing to splurge on the best I can afford.

I'm definitely a snob about materials and aesthetics, but I'll give pretty much anything a chance.

I wouldn't really say that I'm a snob, but if it has an icky smell or it's something I have to use with a condom I'll typically pass. I'm latex sensitive and other condoms are kinda spendy to be using nearly every day. I also won't buy anything that isn't pretty because I have to look at it every time I open that drawer. If it's ugly, I'm not going to want to use it.

I guess I'm a snob in that I'd rather pay $60+ for a quality toy than $20 and have it die a few days/months later.

I wouldn't say bullets and traditional slimline vibes are beneath me, but they just don't appeal to me - I feel the industry is coming out with great innovations in more aesthetic and ergonomic stuff and I want in on it.

I'm an aesthetics snob, but I always am. I love good design and I want it in my toys, too. I don't want to buy an ugly toy. I really wish I could make myself buy the Wahl, because it sounds like it's amazing. Ugh. Maybe I could paint it - even just a different colour would improve it so much.

I'm a no-have-to-buy-batteri es snob, but I am for any anything.

I'm a snob when it comes to toy materials. I won't use anything made of jelly. I like silicone, wood (NobEssence), glass, metal, and ceramic. I occasionally even like high-quality plastics (such as what FunFactory, LELO, and We-Vibe use).

Design is of paramount importance to me, and I strongly favor companies that make highly ergonomic designs to intensely stimulate my G-spot (such as Jollies, NobEssence, and Njoy). Innovation always gets high points from me, too (such as FunFactory, Jopen, and the new Leaf line). Combine these traits with high quality materials, and I'm hooked. Design is one area where I will cut a small amount of slack, as far as toy materials go: if a toy has something special to offer in terms of design, I will buy it if it is made of TPR (though I won't even consider it if it's made of jelly, no matter how enticing I find it). Also, I strongly, strongly prefer rechargeables. The toys I have bought that run on batteries just never get used. I don't store my toys with batteries in them, and I absolutely hate having to load batteries into them before I play. Plus, I hate buying batteries and storing them.

Oh, and vibrator companies that do all of the above and also make an ongoing effort to upgrade the intensity and depth of their vibrations get bonus points from me!

Yeah. I suppose I'd have to say I'm a toy snob, for the most part.
