If there were a way to make it truly anonymous, I think that'd be great! Maybe having an online form to fill would be better than e-mailing...

I think it has potential as long as people understand the limitations. To me, the submitted "problem" is more like a launching point for a community discussion. It's unlikely to directly help the original person since as others have posted, you generally need more information than what is initially given. I don't think there's much harm in testing it out and potentially we'll have a nice way to generate an interesting discussion topic on a regular basis.
