the last erotic novels i read where the breed novels by Lora Leigh, its stories about genetically mutated humans and animals, sounds weird i know but it was super steamy and got my blood boiling!!
Do you read erotic novels and if you do, do you prefer a lot of action and little story; or a lot of story with a little action?

I like balance with what I read. If an erotic novel doesn't have a good story behind it, I often get bored with it and move on to the next one.

Thanks for the list! I was just about to ask if anyone knew of some good stories.

I think it depends on the mood i am in. I want my books to have at least some story plot. I really like books that have a nice balance of both. and there are times where I just want read a purely erotic noval and vice versa. Sometimes I dont want any steamy sex scenes.

If I'm reading an erotic novel, I am usually reading it for the erotic parts more than the plot...but that doesn't mean I don't want a decent plot as well!

I prefer there being a fairly decent amount of action going on. I do need to get my rocks off, after all. But the main focus, for me, needs to be the story, not the action.
03/29/2011
I guess I just enjoy reading... the story is more important than the action.

It's erotica, they're supposed to be having sex! However, I do recognize that there's a difference between erotica and erotic romance. I also love all sorts of romance novels that happen to contain sex scenes.

some story line is good

I love reading erotic novels...better than watching porn. I prefer a good mix but a little extra sex.
10/17/2011
If it's a short story, I'd rather have it be more porn without plot. If its longer, I want more story than porn. Otherwise the sex gets boring really, really quickly.
10/17/2011
It really depends on what I feel like at the time, but I generally prefer more action and less plot.

I think good writing is more important than either, but preferably action and plot is balanced.

I like there to be a reason for the characters to have sex. And a reason for the kind of sex they are having.
If I do not feel for the characters or I'm not invested in the characters, to me the story is pointless. And that is what I try to get across in my erotica.

I prefer short stories
05/29/2012
I'd rather have a lot of both, but if I had to choose I'd go with more story.
08/25/2012
I think there should be a good balance.

I read erotic novels and the mix of plot vs action does not matter.

I do not read erotic novels.

i dont but i'd be interested in it

great question! I like it one of two ways: right down to the action, or lots of story (but it must include a large portion of action to make it worth it!). I usually skim quickly to see how long, or how much of a time commitment a story is. Sometimes I just need a quickie, other times I love the total experience.
10/24/2012
Sometimes I wish a book had more action, sometimes I wish it had less. The plot needs to be good either way though.
03/04/2013
I don't read them.
