Lord of the Rings. I quite like Harry Potter as well, but cheesy epilogue kind of ruined the last book for me. As for Twilight and 50 shades - those are plain dreadful.

I didn't read any of those. Though there's no option for Anne Rice's vampire series...read all of those.

I just finished The Eyre Affair! It was great, though I have to admit I thought the title was misleading--I guess "The Chuzzlewit Affair" doesn't have as much of a ring to it

I loved the Harry Potter books (I waited until they were all published to read them), but my all time favorite series is Sue Grafton's "alphabet" mystery novels.

Harry Potter is just such a wonderful series.

I want to vote for LOTR, but I really do think that the books are difficult to get through. The whole world and story in general is superior though!
