I was cleaning today and found Where the Sidewalk Ends. It reminded me of my childhood. I love Shel Silverstein and still do. I also loved a book called Don't hurt Laurie. What were your faves as a kid?

At different times, there were different books.
The Night and the Dragon was probably my first favorite, then Strega Nona, and Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day.
The Harry Potter books were next, and the Goosebumps series, and Aliens ate my Homework. Oh--and the Boxcar Children, whom I'd forgotten about until this thread.
And finally I moved onto things like The Westing Game and The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.

There's a lot of them, but the Dark Is Rising Series definitely, and At the Mountains of Madness.
Also, the Three Investigators, the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew

Anne Shirley and I might as well be twins. Constantly saying shit we shouldn't to people we shouldn't in an effort to express our deepest feelings...got the red hair to go with it.
Anne of Green Gables, Where the Sidewalk Ends, and the Mrs. Pigglewiggle series.
