I read the first book just so I could say without bias that I didn't like it.

I think I was at page 80 and cried out, "OMG NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET".

It's not the worst book I've ever read, but it was incredibly boring. And it raises some very red and troubling flags about how it treats women.

I'm not into it at all, but I'm pretty sure there aren't any guys who are (and if your man tells you he is, he's probably lying). I'm not even one to generally say "oh that's a chick thing. I won't like it." I gave the first movie a chance. It was absolutely horrible. I haven't tried to read the books, but a friend whose opinion I trust told me she tried; really really tried, and couldn't get more than 70 pages in before she threw her hands up and moved on. There is nothing redeeming about this series. Nothing at all.

The only good thing that came out of Twilight's existence is the Tantus Vamp dildo.

In any case, I'm not a fan. I read the books because my friends were all "oh my Gordon it is so goooood" but I found them to be kind of like empty calories in book form. Nothing very intellectually stimulating.
I'm mainly indifferent nowadays, until someone compares it to Harry Potter, or worse, says Harry Potter ripped off of Twilight. (Yes, I have heard someone say that. Really.)
Also, Buffy could take any of those "glampires".

(EDIT: No, wait, I was wrong. The Vamp dildo itself can't be attributed to Twilight, just the sparkly aspect. I had forgotten that it's a colour variation of the discontinued Sire. Fun fact!)
