I'm still debating on whether or not I want to go see it. I loved the books and (of course) the movies never measure up and always end up pissing me off in the end. Lol. But I do really want to see it.
Deathly Hallows Part 1

This one isn't like the others. Other than minor details (like Harry isn't "Cousin Barney" at the wedding, the kiss between him and Ginny is a little different, and other minor incidents) it is a pretty good representation of the first half of the book. I've read the books about 3 times each, at least, and this movie did NOT make me mad. (for me, that is SAYING SOMETHING)

I don't know if I'll see this in theatres.. but it's definitely a high priority to see.. I only wish they hadn't stretched it into two movies.. I might have to force myself to wait until they're both out so I'm not pissed about having to wait for the ending

I understand, but I'm really glad they did it (except for the waiting part) because they did such a good job not leaving out major plot points.

So... who saw it this weekend?

Yeah, 2 movies are better than one. With all the stuff they cut out of Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix, I'm glad they did two!

I liked it just not where it left off.

Finally, a decent Harry Potter movie!
It's high time they started splitting a book into several movies. I wish they'd done that with the previous ones!

I agree. Starting at Azkaban (which was butchered from the book) and never stopping. But especially 3, 5, and 6. Those all should have been split in two!

It wasn't what I expected. Then again, I've been disappointed since they stopped following the books:-(

Difficult to understand if you didn't read the book, imo

Agreed. Which is why I LOVED the movie. Very close to the book.
