Seemed to be extremely common back in the day, what with the historical precidence for marrying girls off as soon as they developed.

Are there a lot of depictions of things like this? And I hesitate to ask if it was "consentual", defined by law it's rape. Now anyway.

I wonder what the ratio of male to female viewers for this series is.

They didn't show the stuff with the young girl, it just comes up.

*sigh of relief* I've seen some shows take things to really insane heights and that movie Precious just about burned me from ever watching another "critically acclaimed" movie without delving into it thoroughly. I just thought it was about a girl who got herself out of a rough situation. The depictions of assault were intense and extremely graphic.

okay, SPOILER ALERT for those who haven't seen the episode yet, read on at your own risk...

I am insanely pissed that Nucky killed Jimmy. Jimmy was one of my favorite characters on this show, and maybe my all-time favorite. What the hell is going to happen to poor Richard without Jimmy? Grrrrr
