Honestly, depends on the family. I see no reason why gift-giving should be stopped at any age, you know?
Should there be an age limit on holiday gifts?

I don't think I'll ever stop giving presents to my son. He's the one really fun person to shop for. As for the rest of the family, we stopped exchanging gifts years ago. It takes the stress out of the holiday to skip that part.

I haven't gotten presents from the rents since I was like 17.
I had a job by then, and so I just got myself things like bodywash and eyeliner.
I think if I had kids though, I'd give them gifts and such.

Heck no! Give gifts whenever you want, no restrictions! It's the season of giving after all! My family and I exchange gifts every year no matter what age.

I think for other peoples kids, high school should be the cut off for presents, while college should be the cut off for cash gifts.
But for your own kids, I say keep giving every year as long as you are able. Nothing huge, just some stuff they might need.

I come from a family of gift givers. We're not misers, we've just not exactly got money to spend exceedingly, but at Christmas we go all out to get each other what we want, not what we need, and as many as we can afford - though never so much that we need to take out a loan.
Basically, it's because there's so much yelling and arguing during the rest of the year, we make up for it at Christmas.
