I think a community art center would be great. I do not know about the rules though, some art can be controversial (so smarter people than me would have to make the rules). But I think an art center would be great.

It could be a subsection of a writing forums, have it be like a language and arts section (because I can't for the life of me think of a better term for it right now) and have sections for the different writing styles as well as sections for art.

I do like the art idea - photography, digital, hand-drawn, etc. Since we're already bouncing around the writers' area idea, perhaps just a 'creative expression forum'.

I also agree that it could get out of hand, so there would need to be some guidelines. Maybe even a ratings system - G, PG, etc.

Art and erotica sounds nice. Would need/prefer some disclaimers on more adult things since EF tries not to have adult pictures/explicit stories on here from what I can tell.

I'm not exactly sure if this is something for the committee, but I'm a bit curious why we aren't supposed to start new threads over something that's been covered in the depths of the forum. It seems counterproductive.

I have thought of quite a few game type things, but I haven't done any because some people were complaining about games. But if you want some I have quite a few cool ideas.

If we continue with the word games, is there a way they can be taken off the front forum page and moved to their own forum? I understand people love them, and that's awesome, but they aren't really contributing to any sort of discussion at all. Since EF is where I come for good, sex-related discussion, I feel like the same "Post a Word" game getting bumped above the real discussion is counterproductive.

(So, I actually made it in for a Thursday for this. I'm impressed with myself.)

I would totally get in on that. I do a few different types of art. Painting is my passion at the moment.

The ones I was thinking wouldn't be word games, I don't really like those much and rarely participate. I was thinking more of like the picture hunt idea.

I saw it on the top 5 on the main community page. No worries. We will commune again soon. I was gone for most of it too.
