If we are not home, I am not paying the power bill for pets to ignore them.

They're off for me unless it's like a porch light

When I had lights outside. I always turned them off before bedtime. I didn't like my bill during that month.

Anybody that leaves their lights on while they aren't home is just asking for their house to burn down.

My husband puts a timer on our tree lights so that they are on a short time in the mornings (so we can see and enjoy them before work) and turn on again in the evenings so we see them in the front window when we get home.

We only have them on when we are home and awake. Although half the time even when we are home we still forget to turn them on.

I don't like to wasted electricity. They are off whenever I can't see them. And even then, only on in the evenings.

We didn't decorate this year outside, but usually we turn then off when we're not home and once we go to sleep.
