I chose turn on, because it is when my partner and I are in a habit of telling each other I love you. However, if it was someone with whom I had never exchanged those words, it would be bad bad bad.

It really depends on the time, the context, the mood, and whether it's sincere and like "I don't know what has come over me but i just have to say this!" or if it's forced, or if it's said in the frequency of a "hello," or "goodbye," or whatever.
Of course... there was this one time [warning: personal story/TMI] when my girlfriend and I were having sex and I was really nervous about something and she suddenly just pulled me close and said she loved me and it was okay and I didn't have to worry, etc. etc. and I just fucking lost it, I sobbed so hard. So. I mean, we went back to sexy times afterward, but the "i love you"s kind of interrupted in that particular instance (which I was not at all concerned about at the time). It was wonderful, because it was completely unexpected. *shrug*

I love it, but if I was one to have sex earlier in a relationship and I wasn't ready to hear that, I'd get creeped out and hate it.
