Definitely. Sexuality is fluid. Besides, if a woman wants to call herself gay, well, labels are more for the individual that uses them, I think. I mean, how rude is it when someone tells you that your chosen label is wrong? It's not up to others to decide.

Yes. People sometimes take some time to realize their sexuality. I also believe that sexuality is fluid, to a point.

Secondly, I think the answer to this is obvious and anyone who disagrees is a bit close-minded, I'm afraid to say. Of course a woman can be a lesbian if she's been with a man before. In this heteronormative world that we live in, it's highly unlikely for a completely gay individual to not have been with the opposite gender previously. We're told so often that "straight" is the norm and to stray from that is strange. So of course it's perfectly understandable for a gay individual to be with the opposite gender before they realize/accept that they're gay. less

yes. absolutely. Even if she continues to only dates men after deciding her label, she can still be a lesbian.

They can. As long as they no longer have any attraction to men

yes, sometimes before realising you are gay, you need to explore, and ensure yourself it isn't a phase. before knowing that the feelings you feel are in fact true. not for all, but i dont think just because a lesbian has previously slept with a man, you can doubt her gayness.

Of course. Sexuality is completely fluid and it is up to each individual to define themselves. My former roommate identified as a lesbian but she would sleep with guys. She never wanted a relationship with a man but felt attracted to a few men. It was her identity and her sexuality, no one questioned her. I identify myself as heterosexual but I have been attracted to other females and have had physical relationships with a few females. It's up to me and me only to define my sexuality.

I think they have every right. They know what they like at that point for sure.
