Breastfeeding in public is NOT illegal in Washington State nor in Wash DC.

I was never breastfed, but I'm cool with boobs. It's a little odd in public here, since it's really cold most of the year and illegal, but whatever. Apparently having sex with virgins is also illegal in my state.

I wasn't breastfed and I'm comfortable with breasts as long as they're covered. It's not just breasts but any nudity. I'm even shy about men without their shirts on. It's just my social anxiety, I guess. I don't know how to react to all that openness. I'm trying to get better.

I am a breastfeeding advocate and I believe in feeding the baby when the baby wants to be fed, regardless of where you are so long as you feel comfortable doing so.
I'm pro-boobies. I've breastfed my kids for years. I'm also pro-being-comfortable- with-yourself so I'm of the opinion if you feel comfortable being naked, be naked. That's illegal, though.
If someone's uncomfortable with something, it's not YOUR fault. It's THEM feeling uncomfortable. You don't need to cater to everyone's issues.
I breastfed in public with both my kids and did it proudly. If anyone was uncomfortable with it, they didn't have to look.
... and as a note, I'm halfway offended when people compare breastfeeding to using the bathroom. It is completely not the same. That kind of comparison is apples to screwdrivers. There is nothing wrong with a baby feeding the way a baby was born to do.

I'm a female and I was breastfed by my mother. And I am comfortable with breast feeding just as long as they attempt to cover it up a little bit. I am not totally comfortable with seeing women's nipples flying around in malls and stuff.

So there has been a thread on breastfeeding in public, and one on women going braless and they got me thinking. I remember at some point reading about the link between having breastfed as a child and having a higher comfort level around breasts. So I want to see what kind of statistics we get around here. Feel free to share your opinion.

Have you ever seen a "nipples and stuff fly around a mall?" Really?

I've been working in Lactation for a very long time, and I've never seen "nipples and stuff flying around a mall" despite other people always using this as a reason women shouldn't be allowed to meet their childrens' needs in public.

I wasn't breastfed and I only breastfed my kid for a short time. I'm totally comfortable with breasts in private or public, just so long as it's not in a vulgar way where my kid can see.

I was breastfed for more than a year. My dad was the best man at a wedding in Mexico and my mom didn't want to risk making formula with the water there.
