Ax and several similar sprays give me a migraine. Not all cologne has this effect, but heavily artificial scents tend to do the trick.
Are all these "girl attractant" deoderants, and sprays (like Ax), the ultimate myth?

For the most part the clean soap and shampoo smell of a man is good. Although to be honest there have been a few times where the smell of a man who has worked all day has turned me on, but that was only happened with two guys I dated.

I wear Axe occasionally, but only because I like the way it smells. My gf wears a certain perfume or lotion sometimes, that she knows I absolutely love, and cant keep me hands off of her when she does. I think it is just finding that particular scent that complitments your body and that you partner finds attractive. Every one has a different preference but most of us like to smell good for our partners.

I don't know but they make me gag personally.

I'm a super-smeller teacher with a severe allergy to lavender and it's active components, lavandin and linalool. Guess what some of the components of AXE are?
Every time a student walks in to class wearing AXE, I risk a major allergic reaction. I think it smells like yak piss anyway.

If a guy puts too much body spray on, it is unattractive to me. An ex of mine used Axe, but he didn't go hog wild with it, so it smelled fine. I don't think the smell of Axe alone would make me attracted to a person. A good-smelling body won't do anything for a person with a bad personality.

That being said, I do LOVE when my boyfriend smells good. There's already that initial attraction there and I don't care if he wears Axe or not, it just makes cuddling a bit nicer. less

I just loved this post, but in reading "between the lines" I suspect you would "enjoy smelling her" and "jumping her bones" even without the Axe!!!

However, there are times after smelling it on my girlfriend that I want to jump her bones while she's still bathing in it.

Pheromones do play a small roll in human relations. It is one reason woman's menstrual cycles sych up when living together. However, I don't think these store bought body scents have any real pheromone or science behind them at all.

How strong that role is is still up for debate, it could very well be quite minor (and I honestly think that a lot of pheromone products are a complete crock).
