Okay, so who knows about your virtual life as a sex toy reviewer? I know lots of you have blogs about sex or sex toys, and I was wondering how many of you tell lots of people, and how many don't tell anyone at all.

Since I'm starting out, sort of, with reviewing sex toys, I've thought a lot about making a blog, but I'm not sure who I would want to tell.

My husband knows, of course. One real friend and several online. I have a blog but I don't use if for the reviews. The blog doesn't have to have your real identity, and you can choose who to let know about your blog.

Very few know how to get to mine even though it's not locked.

I only just started myself and haven't come to the decision on who to tell or how much. I have let my girlfriend know that I participate on forums but not that I have reviewed anything. I plan on eventually letting her know but I am going to wait until she feels more comfortable with toys herself. For everyone else I know I will probably keep it private from them.

Only my hubby, my beagle, and the cat know. Where I live and at my age, most people would have a stroke if I told them.

My partner and a few close friends. My partner tends to let the cat out of the bag more often than I do because she will start trying to explain a particular toy that we have enjoyed and then the people she is talking to wonder how we got it in the first place. One thing leads to another and now several people know. None of my family, but some of her family know. It would probably freak some people out if it was widespread knowledge.

This makes me wonder if you have trained the dog to retrieve sex toys for you (in safe packaging of course).

Most of our friends know - and our parents and some family members know...and the most common reaction is jealousy! They're all like "heeyyyyy, how can I get in on that?" Then they start asking questions... Gary's semi-famous in our circle for his crazy reviews!

My mom, sister, brother & his wife, several friends, and current/past partners all know. My family is mostly indifferent to it. My partners - especially the male ones - have (in the past) been really excited to open my toy drawer and pick something to use on me. Most of my female friends ask me about things and one even had me go through my toy collection to teach her about different materials.

Unfortunately neither the beagle or the cat can retrieve the toys we want.
The cat is indifferent to it so maybe she hasn't told too many other cats..we do have a lot of wild stray cats around though...LOL
The beagle is confined to our yard so maybe she isn't sharing the news either..

I chose "a few people," although it's no secret outside of the people I talk to regularly on campus. I mean, they're young and open-minded, so it doesn't bother them.

My closest friends hear all about it.

My mom knows the basics of what I do.

Michele's mom knows, and thinks it's great, but she kinda freaks at the thought of her dad finding out. Most of our friends know, and our son does (he's an adult himself so couldn't care less). We don't go around telling everyone, but if somebody finds out it really doesn't matter to us. We're not doing anything wrong, so if somebody wants to get upset about it, they'll just have to take a personal time out and deal with their own hangups about sexuality.

My partner is the only one who knows. I've wanted to tell other people, but in my social circle gossip moves around fast, and there are some friends-of-friends that I wouldn't want to know. So it's just easier to keep it to myself for now.

Ok so I finally told my mom about this. I didn't tell her because she has a bit if a big mouth and she already thinks I'm a nympho. But anyway...

After she got done laughing, she reminded me of how my grandma always thought I should be a writer. I had to laugh just thinking about how that conversation would have gone.

"Oh Grandma, I'm writing now. And I'm even getting compensated for it"

I think the cat took a while to decide whether she approved, since she used to hop on the bed and sit on me while I was masturbating with one of the toys.

Everyone BUT my husbands family knows. They are too up tight, and it would be a horrible situation if they found out.

BUT everyone else is pretty much envious. And think I have the best job ever! I haven't told them my user name to read my reviews though. I don't think our friends would look at us the same way if they knew what I did to my husbands ass!

Family knows (and hates it), boyfriend knows (and assists), and all my friends know. I've always been "the nympho" in my group of girlfriends, and they think my reviewing toys is the coolest thing ever. They also have big mouths-- more than once, I've walked into a room of people I didn't know and had someone go, "So, you're the girl who tests sex toys?"

My mother knows, she is the one that got me addicted bcs she would hold erotic toy demonstrations in her house for her friends and of course I was there. My younger sister knows. one of my grandmothers know (she is really open minded) but doesnt know the extent of what I review.

I could never tell my dad. We arent really close and it would be really awkward. He would probably just tease me about it all the time and ask me what is the size of my largest dildo is. Or he would be grossed out about knowing that about me.
