I don't leave mine plugged in. I only plug them in to charge them when I need them.
Sex Toys and Lightning Protection? No kidding....

My recharable toys do not stay plugged in.
I normally fully charge them, and then store them away. They are ready when i need them. But I never keep them plugged in.

I don't use a surge bar but I'd be really sad if something happened to my LELO Liv while charging!

We had a big lightning storm here last night. Lost power in evening, apparently again LATE last night. Seems the lightning fried a radio-alarm clock and one small TV we have in our kitchen. I just realized that among my UPSCALE "adult toys", there is about $1000 of "rechargeable" toys plugged into two outlets in our bedroom, with NO "lightning surge protection". I am heading to the hardware store this morning to get a surge protection power strip for a few more items we keep plugged in (the charger for our yard tools) as well as my expensive "toys". Anyone else ever think of this issue, or do you use..ha, ha...lightning PROTECTION?

make sure the surge protector is fairly heavy duty if you have that much money riding on it... the cheapo 10 dollar ones will fry at about 900j which isnt much, a good one will work through 2-4 thousand j. not to mention the good brands (something like a monster power center that they have at home theater stores for like 30-700 bucks) will warrenty them and anything plugged into them for a few hundred thousand dollars

That's a lot of toys in one outlet.

I don't leave my rechargeables plugged in constantly. However, it is common sense to use surge protectors on valuable items that are left plugged in. I lost a stereo to a storm several years ago. Renters' insurance covered it, but it was still an expensive lesson (had to pay a deductible).

We bought a few Monster surge protectors for the upstairs and downstairs.
