My wife won't have sex the night before a workday because she says she doesn't want to smell at work.(says she continues to leak even after washing) So I figure I'm going to see how common is this issue or is she just weaseling out of sex on me.

If she is having that issue buy her some scented panty liners, but honestly no one will smell anything unless they are sniffing her crotch..

This happens to me, but I still have sex because I love smelling him on me

That's what I tell her. She says SHE can smell it so everyone else must be able to as well. I tell her that she can smell it because she's looking for it and knows it's her.

And I love that attitude. I work nights so after late sex I sometimes don't have time for a shower. I know I smell but only can when I go pee, in which case I admit I like sniffing my fingers as think about the fact my cock is still covered in our juices.

I don't think anyone will be able to smell it, either. At least I don't worry about it. We had sex RIGHT before work the other day and I didn't give a thought to it. I wash very well afterwards and all the cum seems to come out then.

I'm sure the leakage happens - if things are exceptionally wet she'll wear a panty liner. Not having sex for that reason is really lame. Does she not go to work because someone will smell her period? off course not she'd get fired - the period blood smells way more than semen.

I think sex before work makes many people extra happy.. unless sex is your job then I guess I would not just because they would be tired.

it makes me have a better day actually!if it was that morning even after washing ive had some discharge..but not the nite before.and thats easily fixable if shes worried about it with a pantyliner.

I work with a bunch of YOUNGER woman who come in BRAGGING about how they had a quickie before work...and even THEY have no "smell" (and I have a GOOD nose).
If your wife really does have an odor, she needs to mention that to her GYN as it may be a sub-clinical infection of some sort.

Um....I agree with you that this whole "smell thing" is silly, but leaking DOES indeed happen. After sex, if I simply get dressed, I WILL "leak" for a couple hours. My panties DO get "damp to wet" from his cum. Exactly where do you think those several cc's of fluid disappear to? In a YOUNGER person, cervical contractions tend to draw most of it into the uterus, but in older woman and anyone who has had a hysterectomy...nope. What goes in MUST "come out".

I have sex before work days and I leak after. I'm always worried about the smell because I work with clients all day and need to maintain a professional, conservative appearance. What I do is use panty liners, Coochy After Shave Spray, and JO Feminine Spray. Seems to work!!
11/21/2011
I couldn't imagine the smell being the real reason that she doesn't want to have sex. I think Gunsmoke said it best.

I do have sex before a work day and never really think much about it. But if a perceived odor is of concern, why not use a condom?
11/21/2011
Not with anyone to have sex so i can't say much, but if I did, why the hell would i care what my coworker's think?
11/21/2011
I'm not working right now so I had to choose "not working"

it's part of our dom/sub routine no explanation needed, i hope hehe

I douche after sex when I have to go somewhere. I have never had a leakage problem, though it would be unsettling if I did.
11/21/2011
i've never ever had that problem......

So, that's 5 evenings and mornings a week with no sex? What about sex where you come outside her vagina? No one will "smell" semen if you come somewhere else and she swallows it or it goes into a tissue.
I don't think anyone can smell sex on me, ever! We have sex once or twice a day, and like Gunsmoke said, menstrual blood has a heavier odor than sex anyway. She doesn't stay home during her entire week of her period, does she?
I never douche. I don't think it's good for my vaginal flora. If we've really gone at it, and I've taken my shower or bath before sex, then I just use an Eden Wipe, or just a washcloth to freshen up, but if I'm in a hurry, I don't worry about someone smelling it.
And, I'm a nurse and work physically very closely with my patients. I know I don't "smell" after sex. A panty liner or just a quick wipe with a washcloth, no one will notice.

I "get" the whole "she can smell it, so everyone must smell it" thing...but honestly...no sex the night before work?!? We'd never have sex if that was the case!
As for the "leaking"...yeah, that actually happens. When we have sex (at night) I get up and take a quick rinse off in the shower before falling asleep..I can't stand that "wet the bed" feeling while I'm trying to fall asleep. But, when I get up in the morning the "rest" does leak out...it's how our bodies work! Another shower in the morning will get rid of anything that does leak out though. If she doesn't feel "clean", get her a shower head on a cord and adjustable massage settings! The "waterpik" setting (deep massage setting) is awesome for blasting out anything "in there" and also feels great as the water beats on my clit!
I wouldn't have sex immediately before work, but the night before, I'm all over that!

Never had this problem we do it all the time

I wouldn't have any issues at all having sex - even the morning before going to work.
People are having sex all the time - some even have quickies while at work. Does she smell sex on them????
We're more aware of the smell on ourselves cause we know we had sex recently, but other's won't know.
She is just either very insecure about people even knowing she has sex or she has a very low sex drive.

Um, I think is is kinda "weaseling out". as you put it. It can leak, but the smell is never really an issue.

I could see "I don't want to smell like it" if you wanted to have sex 20 minutes before she headed out the door.
But the night before? That's not really logical or legitimate. Ask her if showering together afterward would make her feel more comfortable with the idea.

I guess her job type might matter, as well---if she's in front of a computer, there's nothing to worry about. If she's a professional masseuse or something, maybe her complaint is legitimate.
