Ever had a brazillian WAX?

The first time I did it I thought it was horrible and totally not worth it.

I recently went back and loved it. I would NEVER do the diy waxing down there. Just, no. It's way faster and way less painful to have someone who really knows what they're doing and can see everything clearly do it.

Additionally, the lady I go to uses a product that isn't actually wax. It's some natural wax-free soy based product that also doesn't stick to your skin in the same way wax does so it's less painful as well.

The thing I noticed the most was that the first time you wax, it'd ridiculously painful because your hair has never been pulled out so the roots or whatever are huge. After that, the little bulb thing at the root is a lot smaller which makes it a lot less painful to pull out. So it's not just "getting used to the pain," it really does hurt less the more you do it.

I just don't see Alaskan men as being the type to want a Brazilian. I always think of Mountain Men type. Stereotype, I know.

But, I would think the whole, "cover the balls and try not to ruin the skin when ripping off the wax" would be difficult.

From a man's point of view, all I can say is OUCH!!! From a woman's point of view, the Mrs. says, "Don't be ridiculous." She meant that to me 'cause I asked her if I should get one!!

I really love a smooth feeling, and I think waxing would help with that.

I work at a spa and we don't do men's brazilians, but one of my esthetician friends has told me that anyone who DOES do men's brazillians can pretty much name their own price (at least in this area, it might be different in less conservative places) because it's not something that many estheticians perform and it's certainly not something you will learn in school. Most employers probably won't expect you to do it if you aren't comfortable with it.

One of her old co-workers did them and she was one of only a few in the entire city that would do them and she would have at least one or two each day. I know she charged something like $160, and that's not including the tip. For comparison, a women's brazillian wax at that place cost $50. So after paying maybe $1 for product, that's a whole lot of profit for her. Not too shabby for a 1/2 hour of work. I know she had to pay for a room rental too, but she still made out pretty well I'd say.
