no, no, no. He says he'd do it in the heat of the moment to surrounding areas, but I'm not comfortable with that.

Oral sex while she's on her period?
08/14/2010
Im all for giving things a go at least once, but this is an exception to that rule. Can't think I would EVER be comfortable enough to let anyone do this to me.
08/14/2010
As a woman, I'm not even comfortable with this but I understand some people are.

CookieDay
i would actually love to try it out.

We don't do that! That's just gross to both me and hubby!

I have to say I never had a guy go down on me while on my period.. My partner chooses to wait after I am done

Same here. There is no way that I would let my husband go down on me while on my period. We do have sex while on my period, as long as it's not the first day (the heaviest flow and I usually feel crappy) but never oral. bleh!

We'll usually give each other mutual oral to completion when I have it.

ahh NO I would not be very comfortable with that.

Oral sex during a period, no. Absolutely not. However, if you are one of the people with bad cramps during your period, apparently having sex can relieve them. My wife and I tried one time and she was as happy as can be since it took away her cramps for the rest of the cycle!

For me, this only works with sex PLUS orgasm, which requires oral sex. Luckily, My Man has no problem with menstruation and talked me into period sex, along with oral many many years ago. I think I may have posted this already, but his attitude is, "I'm getting laid, which I love, you should get off, too. Plus, you're less bitchy if you've had a good orgasm or 20." He's right. If we have sex and I don't get off, I am miserable, especially during my period, because the blood congestion from arousal makes the cramps WORSE.

So, if we're going to do it, and we are because we would not go 5 to 7 days without sex (unless one of us was very ill or dead) my orgasm is just as important as his is, in fact, we realize, especially during my period, it's even more important for me to Come. (We missed the "window" this month, on the first day, to try to reduce cramps with orgasm, due to a UTI. The first two days, I was in tears from the cramps. By day 3, I was ready to go, and it was fantastic, and my cramps stopped as soon as I came. It's medicinal for me!)
Also, we practice withdrawal as a birth control method, so the only time he can come inside me is during my period. We both look forward to it.
I have a maroon king size sheet, that I keep for that week and at least 4 maroon towels that we use one at a time over the sheet. That protects the bed, and it works!
We've also found that a nice hot bath before sex, and the use of a nonporous phallic vibe or dildo does a lot to cut down on the amount of fluid escaping. When we then go to PIV sex, we just make sure we stay on the sheet and towel and if it gets a little messy, we just jump in the shower afterward. I believe it was Nina Hartley who said, "There's nothing that won't wash away." Some women use a menstrual cap, and that seems to help them with fluid escaping.
Mileage and all that.

I'm not cool with doing that and neither is Alisha....

Definitely depends on the mood, but most times I'm all for it. The fact of it being so taboo makes it more exciting. I've gone for it on my girlfriend a couple of times, but not to a red wings extent. I don't mind a mess on the face, though.

Are "Red Wings" a thing where a man has had PIV sex with a menstruating woman?
Is it really that rare? Doesn't seem to be.

Um, well I'm a lesbian, so I'm happy to give my partner oral on her period if she has a tampon in and it's not a heavy day, and she extends me the same privilege.
09/20/2010
No oral during her period, period!
That's just not gonna happen.

I am so self-conscious about vaginal hygene, this is quite beyond my comfort zone.

GDDYUP
I don't really mind all that much. We just both agree that I will be staying right at the top of her area and focus my attention there. You don't have to try and tickle her cervix to make it feel good.

gross!!! however, he did do it in the shower once. it was my last day. guessing he didnt like it very much. last time he did it.

Like at the very beginning or end. The lubricants overtake the tiny bit of blood. But no thanks otherwise. I've never known a girl who'd even want that.

Read the entire thread. There are plenty of girls and women who would totally "want that"! There are men who don't mind at all, and are into our pleasure as well as their own and don't like any breaks in daily or near daily Good Sex.

As I said in my post, before, oral sex is an essential part of ANY sex for My Man and I, so oral for both of us is a given nearly every time. I also wouldn't go 4 to 7 days at a time without an orgasm from him. I'd lose my mind, and he'd go insane if he had to go that long without going down on me.
To each their own. But, there are plenty of women who "want that."
Many of us don't take sex vacations for a week or more every month, just because of a little bodily fluid.
Different strokes.

Nope can't do it...

For women who vote, just assume your speaking of letting your partner go down on you
Wondering how lesbian/bisexual/queer women are supposed to answer the poll, then, without ticky boxes etc.
I'd be open to my (female) partner doing it on me, maybe doing it on her also. Not sure how open she'd be to either, though.

No way, just the thought seems so nasty to me. I wish there was a sick face emoticon.

I've done it. It's not something I prefer over others, but I don't mind it. Hey if the mood strikes.
Besides having orgasms helps to end your period faster and also lessens the cramps.
