ALL alcohol that is consumed by any means is metabolized by the liver.
Also, I doubt the kidneys would become damaged, the main problem would be irritation to the colo-rectal lining and high absorption rates, which could result in alcohol poisoning. This is where the brain is effected by the alcohol to the point where your breathing shuts down.
