#EdenUpdate - Update 229 has been released
12/13/2010
I have a question. I submitted a review weeks ago that still hasn't been published. A friend of mine has one submitted too that was submitted before mine that hasn't been published. My man's reviews were published within days of his submission of them and they were submitted after ours. He also had one sent back for revision twice, yet it still got published before mine. I submitted a support ticket about this days ago, and haven't gotten a response yet, so I thought I would try bringing it up here. I know it sometimes takes awhile for a review to be published, but I was under the assumption they were reviewed in the order of submission. Also, with all of these new editors, I don't understand what is the hold up on mine and I just want to make sure it didn't get lost in the shuffle. I would appreciate it if some one can look into this for me! Thanks!

Love these edits.
I'll be honest, I had been limiting myself anyway to three reviews a day. Others were not as selfless and were more greedy, so there were many days when I got none, and many others who have not gotten any either. Hopefully now all of the editors chosen will be able to get their three.

Glad to see the updates! I'll be glad to have my off site review template working again for my recent assignment.

I think I've seen a few people mention keeping the mentors listed separately from the editors, even if they are editing, and I think that would be a great idea. In the case of a mentor it could say "This review has been edited and approved by:" and if there was no mentor, or it was for the follow up it could say "This review/follow up review has been edited by:". If it's a possibility that is, I know you guys are all super busy less

Personally, I think adding voting for the editor of a follow up is too much.

You should not worry, because we have a backlog of 74 reviews which were not processed by editors. The editors started proofreading them and should process your review within a few days. Your review is located closer to the end of the batch, so be patient.

I appreciate you looking into this for me! It wasn't a matter of patience. I have had reviews take a while to get published before. I understand that you all have your hands full with so many reviews being submitted every day. I was just worried my review "got lost" or something because I didn't understand the process. Like I said, I assumed reviews got published in order of submission. When two of my man's reviews got published when he submitted them weeks after mine, I was just confused. Thanks for your time!

I hate to ask for more in the face of so much work (thanks!) but has the issue of points being awarded to reviews been addressed yet? I'm missing points from 6 reviews at this point, and I know they didn't just get credited without telling me so, because I knew where I stood point-wise before and after each of the reviews. It's not like I'm losing sleep over three dollars, but I'd still like to know it's working. Thanks!

There was more than one but I am currently looking for it. This reminded me of another glitch. Some reviews I edited didn't show my name or anyone elses as editing them. Here is an example:

What I see on my side that this review does not have an editor. The follow-up review was edited by you. Unfortunately the editors who worked with the follow-up reviews are not shown on the reviews. Only the editors who edit the original review are shown. I am sorry that it is not obvious in our interface.

But it didn't just happen on a follow up. It was too much of a pain in the ass to go try to find the review in all the ones I edited. I did ask Gary to forward the ticket to you. it had some examples in it. If it happens again, I'll post it here for you.
I did not get points for the last follow up I did. I said for me to 'save' instead of submit. Is this due to the change of not having our names show up on reviews that are follow ups?

I know. I meant on my side. To have to click on each of the reviews I edited one by one to try to find it was way too time consuming. I delete all my out messages daily.

This apparently was due to the fact that it was already approved. Idk how I was able to grab it and edit it then. No biggie. I just unlocked it and now it is in task limbo.

There appear to still be a few reviews that are glitched.
#259 is a follow up review that doesn't give the option to publish.
There are also a few reviews that link back to our own review page still. Unfortunately, I did not write them down before I did my allotted three for the day and so can't check which ones now.

These tasks 448, 431, 457, 459, 480, 499 didn't work properly because they did not have a review category set, the review categories were added and now the tasks should work properly. Thank you for being so thorough, these are the only tasks I found that had this type of issue.

Sorry I missed this thread as I posted a related message elsewhere. I submitted two reviews three weeks ago, one of them was finally published this morning and the other one still hasn't appeared. At this time, the following still don't seem to work:
- Review can be edited by submitting contributor and editor within 21 days after the review submission.
- Assigned reviews are now published automatically if contributor's rank is higher than 5.5.
I was/still am, unable to edit the unpublished review and even though my rank is 5.8, it's been three weeks since I submitted the review(s). Hope this helps - it's a big job to keep a great site like this running. Thanks!
