My first thought, too, for new customers was not noticing the additional information pull down. I thought it was going to be great for mobile, but so far, for me, its terrible. When I click on the 'more info' area it opens up something completely different. This happens with both of my Androids. It works totally fine on my computer, but with mobile, is a pain.

Agreed. I was so confused about where to look. For new people it is going to be a night mare. They should be directed here.

Can that below the line be lowered a little? I liked how many pages before this had the option to look for more information, but I'd like to see this below the line below the highest star and lowest star review. I'd also like to see the videos of the product below the fold but the reviews above the fold. If this makes sense at all?

was this tested out on people who aren't familiar with ef before it was rolled out? i don't think the majority of new people would realize they have to click on something to see all the immportant stuff

Hey everyone!!! Notice anything different on the product pages?
The Development Team recently updated the layout! Now all of the additional information about a product such as reviews and user uploaded product images are what we call "below the fold". (Think of a web page like the front page of a newspaper, all of the eye-catching information is "above the fold" with additional, supporting information below the fold and most web layouts are designed this way.)
In order to see the additional information, simply click on "More information about..."
(Black Label Jackrabbit)
This change should significantly improve load times for users while also ensuring a clean interface. We hope you like it!
One more thing...milestones: I have all of the information, I just need to do a lot of formatting and get the posts up, your patience has been amazing and I thank you! I'm hoping to get a few of them up today! less

if it went over well with a test group i'd feel better, but im not seeing it as a good move otherwise

Just a quick note, when loading on my computer everything loads just like loading a new page. When I load a product on my iPad... I have enough time to boil water for a cup of tea. (Literally) More often than not on the iPad, the page does this sort of time out thingie where I have to refresh the page a few times, wait, wait, then the page will show up.

So, while I wasn't one of those having trouble loading a page, I do see the reason behind this--for mobile users. The only thing that's really irking me so far is that the size information is "below the fold". A toy's size is just as important as the material it's made of! Could that bit of data be moved back up? It's making my shopping a lot slower, and probably that of many others as well.

Everything loads faster - that is a plus!

I don't like the new layout, and it seems to take longer to get to the information I want.

Unfortunately, contrary to its purpose, the new feature doesn't work on my mobile device. I assume the new links are based on Flash, or some other technology more advanced than what some rudimentary mobile browsers can handle.
Don't mobile users already see the mobile site, which is different? So is it also necessary to change the desktop site?
I've also noticed a number of other features that no longer work on my mobile device. I don't have an iPhone, so maybe these features work for everyone else, but they don't for me.

I just wan to add another thought about the new layout for the product pages. I'm thinking that unless someone is familiar with the site, they may not notice the extra step or access it & find more product details including all the reviews that could be helpful for them. Something worth considering.

Although my wife and I use this account together, I'm generally on here more than her. She was browsing (and failing) a few days ago to find something new but ended up giving up. When I asked her why, she said it was because none of the pages have got any info any more. I pointed out that you had to click a link at the bottom of the page now and her answer was "Why? Forget it, I'm just flicking between pages and can't be bothered with all of that". And she's been using this site on and off for several years now.

I agree that this new feature can be over looked by new users, and members who dont frequent the forums.

Like i said before i think keeping the review feature up before the cut would be a good idea.

Hello and good morning Developing Team people!!!
I know this might sound like nit picking... but I love multi-tasking on one screen. Usually on my screen I have the internet open, a chat box and a movie/TV show going at the same time. One of the things I love about almost every other website out there in the internet, is that they have automatic sizing. So when I change the size of my gmail for example, the gmail page automatically shrinks to change it's size to fit to the new size of the window.
There are now two websites that I frequent that do not do this; EF and the new yahoo mail.
Is there anyway possible that EF could "size to fit" the window-screen size rather than having to scroll over and such to get to information?
It would be greatly appreciated!!!
Regards,
Woman

Its much cleaner but I would like the option to choose it or not. I use my phone a lot on deck top and liked the old scroll function much better.

the other thing bugging me about it is that you have to click and reload it all over again if u direct away to another link. if it would at least stay open it wouldn't be so annoying.

I noticed this. At first it was confusing because I did not know where to go to find the reviews. However, I think it looks great!

Are all the products loaded on the site? I looked for the Pure Plug and only the small and the 2.0 appear, then other plugs, can't even find the medium or large with a search of pure plug medium.

I like this a lot actually, I think it makes the product page look cleaner. I'm fine with it. Yay for faster loading times!

Update! The product pages are pretty much back to the way they used to be, with videos and reviews above the cut.

I like it.
