Do you set a minimum star requirement for products you buy?

I don't think most people have the same tastes as me so this odesn't matter

Sometimes I do. But I read all the reviews for it and that helps me decide. There was one toy that had a good number of reviews and I would say 60% of them didn't like it that much. I went against that and got it. I love it.

It depends. If it's something really expensive, I consider the star ratings, but I'm more interested in the reviews.

Not that I don't trust the EF community but I don't take the star ratings into account because anyone can rate a toy at any time, and often the ratings come from people who see that a toy is about to be introduced and, based on the description alone, give their two cents.

That's what I was worried about. It seems you should have to own the toy to rate it. As an example, based on the description and how much I have loved other fun factory toys I own, my prediction was I would love the FOU, but when I got it I hated it. But until you actually experience it how will you know? It can go the opposite way as well. Looking at Tango I wasn't impressed with a plastic bullet kind of toy, but Tuesday really recomended it and it is one of my all time favorites!
