Worst was probably a bunch of dollar-store stuff from a friend.

It was a pair of roller blades from Santa. Had fun with it for a few years.

Worst gift ever from an SO: a calendar. I'd expect that at an office gift exchange.

a romantic dinner followed by a date to a Broadway musical

Worst gift ever from an SO? Nothing - and I literally mean I received nothing.
Best gift ever? My hubby doesn't really like or get into the holidays, but I do. When he asked me what I wanted for Christmas last year I told him all I wanted was a wrapped present under the tree addressed to me, it didn't even matter what was in it if he could accomplish that much. In actuality, he got me a couple of really nice thoughtful gifts, and we had a super special family holiday.
I had higher expectations for this year since last year went so well, but earlier tonight I was presented with a stack of non-descript boxes (with what I believe are presents for me inside) and asked if I could wrap them. Although, it wouldn't be the first time I wrapped my own presents... My mom did that once when I was a kid too, but I didn't know whose presents they were at the time. I just knew they were some plain white shirt boxes.

A few years ago my husband gave me big bottles of Chanel #5 shower gel and eu de Parfum. It was so thoughtful, I hadn't had it in years and it's my favorite scent of all time.Especially touching that he got the eu de parfum, not the eu de toilette, because they are completely different scents and I prefer eu de parfum. He always puts a lot of thought into gifts for me
