Just because college is decades behind you, or months away from being over, doesn't mean the learning stops. There is a teachable moment or an opportunity to learn everywhere in life. We at Edenfantasys encourage everyone to always be on the lookout for knowledge you may need later on in life, whether it's learning how to say I love you in a foreign language or what those little plastic things on the end of your shoe strings are called...you just never know when it will come in handy.

So let's play a game of sorts, shall we?

I would like to know what the difference between a bustier and a corset is.

I've always wondered this too. Best I can figure is the corsets usually lace in the back and the bustiers have the bra clips. No clue if that's the technical difference or not.

From my knowledge a corset is usually made with a heavier fabric and is more for shaping your body. A bustier is a modern representation of a corset and usually has a lighter more stretchy fabric. That's all I really know about the difference between them.

I would like to know what the difference is between sadism and masochism

So would say you a corset is more of an outerwear garment and a bustier is more like lingerie?

Another good question! The only thing I know is one likes to inflict pain (sadist) and the other likes enduring the pain (masochist) and that the terms originated from the Marquis de Sade.

A corset is a garment meant to help shape and lengthen your torso and waist. The corset is adjustable with laces, and uses boning to help shape your waist and torso. If you wear a quality corset as part of your daily wear, it can reshape your body permanently. Usually in a good way, though.

A bustier is a non-function version of a corset. It is used as lingerie or a pretty tank style top. Bustiers are not laced and adjustable, use lighter boning-usually plastic--and have no actual body shaping capabilities. They may help suck in and hide some flaws, but will not reshape the torso.

Well, the "sadism" part is from Marquis de Sade. The "masochism" part is from Leopold von Sacher-Masoch. But otherwise, yeah, that's pretty much it. A sadist enjoys inflicting pain and a masochist enjoys receiving pain.

Cis as in cissexual?

It's a way to say someone's biological and conscious sex (or gender identity) is aligned. So in other words, a non-trans*, non-genderqueer, non-agender, etc. individual.

I LOVE BOTH!!!! But sad to say I don't own one of either!!

They are so feminine and SEXY!!!! A corset is up on the top of my list of "fun purchases"... I just have got to get the nerve up to make the purchase. Isn't that silly? I guess I'm embarassed of what my husband will say. I know he will approve, though =)

Since I'm not too well-versed on any of the subjects above, I shall offer a question about something I've always wanted to know:
Is there a difference between a fetish and a kink?

Generally fetish is something you *have* to have to get off, where a kink is preferred but not required. At least that's the defining line I've seen people use. Not sure how universal that is.

I believe a g-string will be a thinner strip of material in back while a thong will be a wider strip.

I've always wondered why cable companies don't let you pick the channels you want instead a package full of stations you never watch and that one channel you always watch.

This drives me nuts! Maybe because some channels are more expensive than others and grouping channels allows the company to work less while earning more? Filler stations of a type? I also know that HBO won't allow you to buy it's online channel without buying it's television subscription. This gives them more money! I would also like to know some ones opinion.

I would like to know someone's opinion on why sex toy sales and promotion are illegal in Alabama. Crazy right?

If they let us pick the channels they wouldnt be able to charge so much! Just thint to usually get what we want we have to buy 2 of thier pakages and end up paying 100 a month or more.

Looks like to me the difference is the material. Thongs have more in the crack that a g string.

A bustier is meant to shape & lift the breasts, while lightly & gently shaping the torso.

A corset is meant to shape the body drastically to give it an hourglass figure. The corset does also lift the bust-line as well to give you a "rack" but that is secondary & not the main intent.

But be mindful not to confuse the sexual fetish with the religious fetish! That would be a bad idea! Ha Ha Ha

Alabama is pretty strong on its views regarding the sanctity of marriage and legislators strongly believe that sex toys ruin a marriage, not enhance it.

In other words, no other reason than because they want to make it really difficult for people to enjoy sex and masturbation.

Not at all. I love them and prefer them over all other styles of panties.

I feel like that if I wear a thong with a skirt, but not if I wear one with pants. Not sure why that it. A thong is the only thing I'll wear with shorts or pants, but I have to have boyshorts or something with skirts.

I hate g-strings and thongs. I prefer boyshorts for everything.
