I'm a twitter addict. I don't consider it spam unless you post about the same thing too often and it's not informative. I know that recently I posted about EF 3X in one day but one was a review & the other posts were entries about different products. I've never had anyone complain about my EF tweets. I think I've turned more of my twitter friends onto them in fact.

I don't understand twitter. So obviously, I dont have one. There are plenty of other contests though that do not require a twitter account.

So I keep seeing these great Giveaway Contests on EdenCafe and I'm glad they recently added the option of filling out a survey regarding your experience at EF. However, the other entry options are many and they all include advertising the cafe or following EF on Twitter. Why does someone have to not only have and use a Twitter account but basically spam advertise these contests for entry? I think it would be much cooler if they had other ways to enter... like more games, only games, or answering open ended questions about the site, your opinions on improvements or current features, etc.It just doesn't seem fair.I don't have a Twitter account for many reasons, and I certainly won't get one just to spam advertise things on it, even if they are things as awesome as EF contest giveaways. Le sigh.Anyone else have this issue?Any suggestions on how to enter that doesn't involve Twitter, Facebook, or other seemingly banal methods of contest entering? All input is appreciated! Thanks!

My twitter and facebook are under my real name with my real identity. As much as I love Eden, I can't post those kinds of things because it is virtually impossible to totally erase your internet history and I need to consider my career.
I wish there were other options -- I would totally write a fantasy involving a product, or do some kind of promotion on my EF profile, but I can't mix things up with my real life.

I enter a lot of blog giveaways and have a twitter account just for the extra entries I get posting about them to twitter as that's pretty standard in blog giveaways. I like the option, myself.

A lot of giveaways rely on advertising, but I like your idea of playing games or something.
