I noticed no one said Caribou Coffee! While Starbucks has them beat for "frou frou girly drinks", Caribou has the best plain coffee.
best coffee.

Too hot? Really? I find it just right. But don't forget, we are in the great white. They probably make it hotter to keep us freezing canucks warm

Starbucks? More like Charbucks. They burn all the flavor out of it. You might as well brew charcoal briquets.

A few months ago, I got a Freshroast home coffee roaster and now I get green coffee beans from Sweet Maria's or Gen-x coffee. I took a couple pounds and a couple weeks of practice, but now I can make way better coffee than I can get anywhere or from any stupid chain. I also threw out my drip machine and started to use an Aeropress. That little $25 gizmo makes better coffee than my $200 drip machine. It's so much better that I quit adding sugar completely. I take my coffee seriously and for about $5/lb or so, I get the freshest coffee possible, organic, free trade and from all over the world. I'm totally spoiled now. I can't even drink that swill from Duncan donuts or the fast food places.

That's very impressive. I didn't even know you could roast your own beans.

Starbucks isn't the best, but it's definitely not the worst. The worst is McDonald's coffee. My favorite is Seattle's Best, though Dunkin's is most accessible for me.

Vanilla Bean Frappe from Starbucks is awesome but I also like the Caramel Frappes from McDonalds!

I love soy chai tea lattes from a hole in the wall place where I live. I can't stand Starbuck's coffee (and I live in Washington, I think if anybody I personally know here knew that I'd be dead) I do like their white hot chocolate. AMAZING!

Local, as in I can buy it at the store in town, either Caribou Mahogany, or our Grainery's Orange Seville.

I am addicted to plain iced cafe lattes from starbucks. Om nom nom.

Out of those, I like Dunkin Donuts. My favorite is actually Wawa, though.

There was a place in my hometown of Brazil that served fantastic coffee. I don't remember the name but it was the best coffee I ever drank.

I wholeheartedly agree with Tuesday on the Peet's coffee. I have refused to drink another since, and have it everyday.

My choice would not be from above. If I could have my choice, it would be Tim Hortons as I am from Canada and it's essentially a part of our culture. Super cheap and large sizes, tastes good too
I live in Seattle, currently, so I would say Peet's like Tuesday did or go with one of the many great organic shops we are lucky to have around.

My dad's Keurig is the reason I started drinking coffee that wasn't just a blended drink.

Starbucks, definitely.

I love Starbuck's lattes (particularly their holiday Pumpkin Spice latte and their iced upside-down Caramel Macchiato), but for regular brewed coffee, the very best we've tried is Godiva's French Vanilla. Mmmm, it's heaven . . . and even more so with a dip of Godiva vanilla ice cream added in place of creamer. (Godiva has at least two vanillas. The one that we like to add to our coffee is the one that has bourbon in it; I think it is called French Vanilla.)

Oh, there is also a local place that has an incredible cup of coffee: hazelnut-coconut! It is a real treat to go there and get a cup of their special-blend coffee . . .

Not a coffee drinker, but when I do want to act like a grown-up, it has to be the good ol' cafe con leche, Cuban style (strong espresso with steamed milk).

I prefer Dunkin Donuts' coffee, lol and the donuts and bagels are really good and not only that, but where I work has a discount card for all the employees, so I get 10% off of what I buy at DD Granted, it's not alot off (and it only saves less than a dollar most of the time when I get stuff) but hey, it adds up in the end
