NOT Happy So Far!!!

Contributor: Shellz31 Shellz31
I don't know about others but so far I'm not happy with things since the merge!
For one, overseas orders use to always ship via courier so they would arrive within 5 - 7 days. Plus, with a courier you have peace of mind that you're package is taken care of.

Now, my packages are being sent via USPS which takes a hell of a lot longer and if my package doesn't get to me - who is going to be out of pocket???????????
If there's no coverage, I won't be buying here any more because I don't have money to waste if thieves in the postal services take a fancy to my packages!

Plus it took a week to get notified that my last package was only partially being sent cause the other item were out of stock. So it could end up taking 3+ weeks from when placing the order to getting any of it.
I totally understand things go out of stock but a week to even send the items that were in stock.....

I believe the porn club discussion will have been and gone before I see the DVDs arrive because of the shitty postage now. Or is that a way to limit the club members....

If all the originals are still in charge of the 'Eden' site, why the sucky changes????????

These changes were what I feared with another company taking over. I use to love Eden and the way it worked. I'm gonna miss that!

Awww, Shellz. That is completely sucky. I'm sure they're settling in and working to get everything settled and running proper. I don't EF will change. Stay positive.

*huggles*

So what didja order miss, I'm curious.

It sure is!
But there wasn't any reason to change that shipping so I don't think it's something to do with the move.
The snail mail also means owed reviews are likely to be over due regularly.

It's kinda hard to stay positive. Is there anywhere you have seen where we were told there would be big shipping changes??

Both my porn dvds were out of stock as well as the coohcy protrection - which is still out of stock. So my last order is coming in 3 stages!

Ya know it takes 3 days for my order JUST to get to Florida! Think it's taken by turtles...lol. And I can't track it once it's in the state to be flown out.

So it's been over a week so far since the first of my order was sent. SIGH.

I know here in AU, if a company is slow or the shipping takes forever - I shop elsewhere.

Think I have some thinking to do.

Shellz31,

I certainly understand your frustration. We also had orders that were delayed with zero communication or explanation. In fact, I am also still waiting for my porn club movies. They did finally ship, so I expect them within the next day or two. At first I was upset with the delays and lack of communication, but it all made sense when I read that Eden was in the process of moving...plus I'm getting the movies at a pretty good price.

I am in the States so I can't really relate to the difficulties that you are encountering with international shipping. Hopefully they'll be able to resolve them soon.

I believe most of these issues are a result of the merger, which was first announced just a few months ago. I am sure they've had countless issues to work through. I can only imagine the massive undertaking it must be to relocate Eden's warehouse and distribution center. So I can understand and excuse the recent issues. I am not prepared to give up on them so soon. I'm actually quite impressed that they were able to make the move so quickly.

Lets try to give Eden a fair shot at getting settled in to their new digs. I am sure they are working to get back to the high level of service that we have all come to expect.

I am praying the shipping problems are just a glitch.

I am really afraid since Liberator's shipping policies are very different than Eden Fantasy's. That is the very reason I never buy direct from Liberator. The only way they will ship to Alaska is UPS 2-day. UPS 2-Day Air prices are unacceptable! I would be paying double or triple for a toy when you include 2nd Day Air pricing. Insane!

I have high hopes that Eden will not change. If it does, I, too, will be forced to seek out other options.

I know how you feel Shellz. It's been 13 days since I placed my order and it hasn't even hit our shore yet These long delays will make it horribly hard to do our eden sponsored reviews on time or accurate due to time constraints.
I've only ordered from EF twice before and both those times I was pleasantly surprised by the fast shipping. But now it seems that awesome feature is gone.

I can understand delays with the DVDs and things like that. I know just moving household stuff if a hell of a job that I hate doing. I wouldn't want to move a business!

But I don't understand why the shipping was fiddled with when it worked well and kept (especially overseas) customers happy. I really think it's Liberators doing and I blame them!

Damn - double and triple prices for Liberator shipping is insane. If they pull that here, Eden is going to lose business and the merge or sale to Liberator will end up being a big mistake. I'd hate to see Eden fail 'if' it's in the wrong hands.

I don't fully understand the sale when Eden was doing well - going by what an article said. If I owned Eden and I was raking in that much in profit, there's no way in hell I would sell.

Is anyone else in Canada or overseas concerned about getting ya packages with this different shipping - due to the lack of insurance coverage that courier offered? It worries me.

Redboxbaby - Did you receive courier shipping to Canada or did they just send another US form?

I know insured airmail for small and light weight items from US start in the $20 range for shipping.
There's no way it would be worth it to insure the large orders I get at times. Would be cheaper to just shop at home.

I'd just LOVE to see shipping go back to the way it was.

Alaska is still in the US, but it is not considered within the continent (even though we are connected!), so we fall into the overseas category for shipping sometimes. Most companies will not ship anything to us unless it is 2-Day United Parcel Service (UPS). It costs exactly the same, however to ship USPS Priority flat rate to Alaska as it does everywhere else in the US. That is by far a much cheaper, greener, and fair rate. I hope that still remains an option for us.

Ohhh sorry, I'm gonna claim a lack of sleep for not reading properly This puppy is killin me...lol.
That's weird that Alaska isn't considered within the continent. Strange.

It's like little Tasmania over here. It's not attached at all to the rest of AU but it's not classed as overseas.

Yeah, I hope it remains an option for you too.

Another reason I love the courier is because it's delivered to the house. Whereas, normal mail has to be collected from the post office. We don't have mail delivery.

I am in Canada so I am considered international and nothing has changed here at all. It is still UPS. I, in fact, just got a parcel yesterday. It just took 1 day longer than it did from NJ.

That's interesting.

I wonder why they have changed the shipping to AU. I'm not the only one over here who has had shipping changed to USPS rather than the usual courier.

Hello everyone,

I'm very sorry about the delays and lack of communication - it hasn't been an easy time for Eden, but I'm happy to tell you that everything is completely back on track now - no more shipping delays and our customer service representatives are handling the support tickets in a timely manner.
As far as shipping, Eden's policies and prices have not changed. Shellz31, please message me your order number so I can check what happened with your order.

Thank you for all your patience and please don't worry, Eden will be changing only for the better

I feel for you all with all the shipping delays. I'm in the same boat and I'm sure there's a lot of us with the same issues. It took over 2 weeks for EF to reach the shipping stage for just 2 out of the 14 items from my order and the rest are on now on backorder.

We really can't do anything but have patience and give them time to cope with all the huge changes that have taken place at the company in the last few weeks. I just hope this doesn't hurt the reputation of the company because they are easily the best site of its kind on the net.

I agree with you Solar ray. Eden surpasses all the other toy sites I've ever shopped on and there has been many. I also understand that Eden are going through BIG changes and I still hold hope that things will return to normal. I just hope that Eden also takes these delays into consideration when it comes to reviews being due.
I have been waiting over two weeks for an order to come with a review toy in it and a buy out toy too. So my reviews will either be late or incomplete (if I have to get them in on time) or quite possibly both.

I don't know if it's stress on top or not and that's why I'm getting so frustrated.
There's no consideration for overseas contributors when it comes to the 6 weeks time frame.

When packages were sent via courier - that was fine, it would only cut ya down by a week and our orders were being shipped within a couple of days. But USPS ultra extreme snail mail and whenever the orders get round to being sent (my last one was done on monday the 21st and only sent on the 29th march) - that cuts off over a week before it's even sent! Then that crappy mail service takes way over a week to get to me. That cuts my review time frame down a lot!

So then I will get emails asking why and when will it be submitted.

At this stage, I won't have watched the Scooby and Flintstones movies before the discussion. As long as they realize, if overseas contributors are last on the last (if there's not enough dvds to go around) that our shipping takes a lot longer and so it leaves us very little time to view them on time.

I am losing my inspiration to write reviews at the moment.
Courier shipping time was painful enough when ya waiting on toys

I hope things go back to the same as they were when I joined!

From what I see, it's the international orders that are slow and having so much trouble. By the time our turn comes up, half the stuff we ordered is out of stock.

I'm sorry you're so frustrated with everything. I just look at it this way, yea it's taking a little longer for my things to get here, but EF is still amazing to offer free stuff all the time. I think that in itself makes up for it. Give them a little time. They may just need to get a few quirks in order and things will get better. Keep your head up and don't give up on them just yet.

Another odd thing is that even though only 2 of the 14 items I ordered have apparently been shipped to me... of those other 12 items that say "Backorder" ... all but one of them are still showing as "in stock" on EF. What exactly is in stock and what isn't in stock on the website then?

Unfortunately, the system doesn't show the user where the reviewer lives when the late review lists are generated. So, when I generate the late review emails, there's no way of knowing who lives where except for the people I know who live out of the US already. The three week late email is automatic though.

If you get a late review email (three or six week) and haven't received your assignment yet, please let Gary or I know. It really doesn't make sense to hold a reviewer responsible for an assignment when they haven't gotten it yet! Plus, there's a chance the product went out of stock and the assignment might have to be canceled, rare but happens.

Thank you to everyone for bearing with us in this!

Well finally some good news on my order. After sending yet another support ticket through about when the other items from my order were going to be shipped out to me... the customer rep said they had talked to the shipping department and they were going to get the order out today. So fingers crossed it should arrive within 2 weeks or so.

My advice to anyone experiencing these types of delays with their orders is to be proactive and put support tickets through because it seems sometimes the orders just sit there and don't go any further unless you actually ask about them. It seems to be a matter of the "squeaky wheel gets the grease" so to speak.

Patience and persistence is basically what you need to have... especially when you consider EF has just gone through the huge task of relocating an entire company and are trying to make it smoothly operate again in just a few weeks... obviously an enormous undertaking.

Hi Everyone!
This is Alysa with the Customer Service Dept. Just now getting time to do Forum stuff, and let you all know that we are working our little tushies off, however the company did go through a move down the east coast, and there were reprocussions from the move, as normal. So please if you have any issues support tickets are where CS is at right now, but we will be poping in to the forum to update as well. We are basically a small team dealing with everyones questions and concerns on a daily basis. We work hard, and don't want to lead anyone into thinking that we don't. We have been able to get the entire 6 pgs of support tickets down, and now deal with a 1.5 pg daily, and yes they all come back over night, but they are under control now, and we are progressing for the better! We love the company, and are excited about the new changes, however we have to be patient too because we are not everything and if our team doesnt have cohesion then nothing will get done. We try to support every aspect of the process, shipping crew, sales crew, support crew, etc.
We hope to get into the rythmn soon, feel free to STS us, call or give a personal e-mail

Sincerely Eden Fantasys Customer Service Team

My packages have been getting to me alright since the chance, still about the same time frame even though its now supposedly farther away.
But yeah it seems like allot of things are out of stock and still out of stock since then. I also was trying to order the coochy protection :/
but hopefully with time things will pick up again, I'm sure the change is hard for everyone. Hope it gets better for you.

Honestly, I don't blame EF, I blame the USPS. It's a lot slower than the postal service in other countries. After exchanging packages with friends and family overseas, I'm quite convinced that mail gets across the Pacific via inflatable raft, captained by one guy who has to paddle with his hands.

That being said, my domestic order came very quickly, but I think the USPS only ships overseas periodically. I've figured out that the USPS delivers mail to the UK, for example, about every 10-14 days (or at least, it used to). Sometimes when you mail a package, you'll be lucky and it will ship out the next day. Other times, you're at the wrong part of the "cycle" and your package has to wait 13 days before leaving the country.

I just want to mention in regards to the continental us rates to alaska in ups, the way it was explained to us(i work at a ups hub) was that because of customs and the like canada does not allow packages shipped via ground through their borders that are not intended for canada, so we have to fly them. which is why some things just can't be shipped there because they can't go on the planes, they have to go on boats and we don't have boats. but that being said most of the time you can ship "ground" to alaska and hawaii and it still flies it just costs the same as ground.

LMAO - I have been thinking the same thing ..... USPS send their mail via row boat to overseas countries.

It takes them about 2 - 3 days just to get the packages from GA to Florida. Then 5 days by row boat from Miami to hit AU shores. Crikey!
I don't understand why they don't send daily. There are planes coming to AU ALL the time! And it would be the same to the UK.
I'm certainly not impressed with them and so glad I don't have to deal with them regularly.
I just hope we do get courier delivery back cause I'm too impatient to continue to deal with USPS service.
I'll go back to buying in AU!

About the first part - maybe US buyers (cause I don't see people within the US having this kind of delay) are getting their packages sent out like normal but mine aren't any more. Mine use to leave Eden within a few days of ordering. Now, each time it takes at least a week. So that then slows down the receiving a lot.

Well, I'll have more late emails coming my way and they won't be my fault!

USPS is the United States Postal Service, and it is a semi-governmental agency self-funded through the sale of stamps and delivery services.

UPS is the United Parcel Service, a publicly traded company with far less rigorous guidelines about size/weight of packages.

As to whether or not the USPS is faster or more reliable... Well... It IS affiliated with the government, and anyone who's stood on a DMV line in a large metropolitan city knows exactly what I mean by that.
