Thank you for the answer, Tim! I'm going to do my video on this rabbit tomorrow, then I will start tinkering with it and shoot you a message if it is something we might be able to work on. It just.. won;t rotate! I got brand new batteries and it still isn't, but after tonight's workshop I'm thinking there has to be a loose wire or something. It's not like it will kill me if I do end up breaking it, so I will wait until I do my video and then we can tear it apart!
Awesome workshop, glad I could be here
I'm off to bed as well!

Sorry Tim. Totally forgot about this in my "The whole family is sick and we're tired" weekend from Hell. I finally got on to review and when I was done saw the thread and now I feel like a crappy friend.

I can't believe I missed this workshop. Not only was it the first workshop but Dwtim is so great! I'm so glad that I can revisit the thread to learn all these nifty tricks. I'm especially excited about modding an egg vibrator.

Yes, we all have those times when we grab a favorite toy and it does not work for one reason or another. Maybe you washed it and did not dry it completely. Maybe the dog got a hold of it and your beloved egg does not work now.
Well this week on Tool Time with Tim we are going to look at two common problems and how to fix them. First we will look at rusty battery contacts. We will learn how to clean the contacts and how to prevent them from rusting in the first place. Ya, I know, “Don't get them wet.” Right? The thing is, some of us live in areas that have high humidity. That can cause rust to form as well.
Secondly we will look at how to change a Egg from one controller to another. You know, that one controller has more settings or has higher power? Yup, I am going to show yo how to cut, splice and soldier those wires together. For those that don't have a soldiering gun I will also show you how to do it with butt connecters.
So make some room on the work bench or kitchen table, get some tools ready and don't forget the safety glasses.
The Work Shop will be held right here on this thread on Sunday the 16th at 8:00 pm est. Every one is welcome to attend. less

Don't know, I may do more if i get some suggestions. I may do some different type of work shops as well. You know, like how to start a fire with lube. Or how to install a flux capacitor.

Great post! It's insane how you put toys back together. Insane.

I love this! I can't wait for some of my toys to break so I can fix them!
01/17/2011
Lovely workshop. I missed it, but can still read along. Cheers!

I missed out too. I had to get some work done.
It would be so cool if there was some way of using a webcame to show how to fix items. Then again, anyone who misses it, won't be able to go back over it.
Unless it was a video.....
I have a Legamento that has become noisy for some reason but it wasn't in when I got it. It developed about 6 weeks or so after getting and abusing it.
I don't suppose there's any way of solving that issue?

Thanks Mistress Kay, been tearing things apart and putting them back together for about 35 years. I love that it carries over to sex toys and that I can share with the community.
Redboxbaby, I hope they don't break to soon.
Silvi, come back when ever you need.

From the pic's on the product page, it looks like there are two screws in the battery compartment. I would start there. If that pulls the workings out, you could take a picture and send it to me. Maybe I could figure it out from there.

It starts up at the quiet sound but within 10 seconds or so, it builds up to rather loud. It's not the loudest but it wasn't like that in the begining.
Cheers

Well you found a bullet that has some great thumpy vibes to it, only problem is the controller that drives it only has two settings. You have another controller that is infinitely adjustable but the egg sucks bad. Or maybe you could not fix the battery problem with your controller.
Guess what, your buddy Tim has an answer for you. Why not splice the egg to the controller you like?
Let’s look at how that can be done. I am going to take the egg from the black controller and spice it to the white one.
We will need the following supplies-
A soldiering gun, flux core soldier, black electrical tape, some type of wire cutters, shrink tubing, butt connecters’, wire strippers, and a crimper (for the butt connecters’).
For those that do not have a soldiering gun, I will show how to use Butt connecters to splice the wires. less
