Thanks - my wife would certainly say that I'm overly obsessed with beer, but I think a certain amount of obsession can be healthy.

I'd love nothing more than to meet up for a pint or two in Portland - it's supposed to be such an amazing beer town!

Just a few seconds too late. Alys was probably abusing her F5 button with her new flogger, which is why she beat you to it.

Again, I want to reiterate that I will be submitting three articles to the Eden Cooks portion of the Eden Clubs and Events Blog over the next few weeks further explaining about beer styles, what to look for when selecting beers, and how to enjoy your beer. It was simply impossible to cover everything in this workshop. So keep an eye out for them by checking the blog, watching for the announcements here in this thread, and via Facebook. For those of you who don’t know, Facebook is a tremendous way keep up on everything going on at EdenFantasys. If you are concerned about your friends and family seeing what you are interested in on EF, you could always do what I have done and set up a Facebook profile specifically for EdenFantasys (Vaccinium Eden).

So, that’s it for the Beer Selection Workshop. If anyone has any further questions, I can stick around a while longer answering them. Also, in the weeks and months ahead, feel free to ask any questions that you have about beer in this thread.
Finally, I want to say that if any of you are ever in Portland (aka Beervana) and want me to show you the best places to get a beer (or anything else), just contact me and I’ll gladly take you out. The first round will even be on me. Just don’t let me have more than three beers. I get flirty and much more uninhibited when I get intoxicated .
And don’t forget to donate to Taco O Doom’s Run Taco Run fundraising event for Run to Home Base – which is committed to serving the needs of veterans with combat stress and/or traumatic brain injury. EdenFantasys and Eden Gives Back have pledged their support to this worthy cause, and you can too. You have until Wednesday, May 18th to donate.
As a parting shot, let me quote Ernest Hemingway: "Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut."

Thanks Vac for such an amazingly fun learning opportunity. I just have one final question: I just got the Silver Six Interlink Beads vibe...what beer would go with that?
05/16/2011
Have a good night everyone. I'm going to look for something to eat. I'm hungry.
05/16/2011
Thanks! I learned a lot. And by the way, that "Spike your drink" thing isn't as fun. I think I'd rather just make my own with concentrate juice and champagne yeast.

Great Workshop Vac. Learned a lot! Thanks my friend.

I'll be on the lookout for your up an coming posts .. .an interesting workshop. .. thanks Vac and everybody else. . ..was definitely something else. . .haha

You already have the air trap, so if you have the champagne yeast, you have all you need.
