One area I can definitely improve upon is porn reviews. But honestly, I'm lucky if my porn reviews get 7 votes so I don't put as much effort as my toy reviews.

I never think to check the porn reviews cause we don't watch porn. Otherwise, I'd probably vote. But I understand what you mean.

I actually like to challenge myself with areas I'm not necessarily comfortable with. However, most of those come as push assignments.

Porn reviews can be tough. It's hard coming up with an angle that no one else has hit.

I also think that, because porn has to cater to a LARGE spread of kinks, very few people are going to love all the porn they review.

RE porn reviews: I have a hard time writing the porn club ones sometimes because they just don't interest me. It's not like it's a defect of the film itself, it's just missing elements I like. What should I focus my reviews on then?

There's "pushing my horizons" and then there's "I'm totally ignorant of this." I think I could do a better job reviewing a countertop than makeup, I just have never used makeup and have nothing to compare quality to, or what kind of expectations to have.

New restraints or impact toys? Sure, I'll give it a try! Lipstick? Better off giving it to someone who will appreciate it.

That's a toughy too.

Focus on what you did like, I guess. Maybe compare two scenes you liked? That can be hard too. There was one porn I was reviewing and I didn't care much for any of it.

Porn reviews take me the longest by far, and I agree, they don't get as many votes.

I think porn reviews would be challenging for me, as well...

I also think that, when it's reviews for the Porn Club, random passers-by are going to read maybe the first two or three reviews that publish, and then kind of say "yeah, I already know how that one goes" and not bother to read the rest that post.

A lady after my own heart. I'm not a fan of makeup myself. I always seem to get it in my mouth somehow.

just try to be objective, like you would if you were writing a DR. if it's not specifically for YOU, you can still write an informative review, and state your personal opinion at the end.
