There's so many, they change somewhat depending on my mood

I think my all time favorite horror movie is probably Re-Animator (unrated). It's darkly funny, bloody, and Jeffrey Combs is fantastic. The whole thing is just great, and it fairly well mirrors the short stories it's based on.

Up there with Re-Animator is Dead-Alive - I think that was my first introduction to Peter Jackson, and it's truly a funny gore-fest. At the time it was made, it had more blood than any other movie (3,000 gallons in the finale "zombies meet lawnmower" scene).

I don't get scared much, but I think the Blob (the original) scared me the most ever. Keep in mind, I was 3 when I saw it, and my parents didn't let me see the end where they killed it, so for years I had nightmares about the blob coming through the heating vent in my room when I slept. Cal-Tiki (a blob that left skeletons) scared me to death then too As a teen/adult, I'd say The Omen, Ringu, and a Nightmare on Elm Street. I think because of the concepts in each. For example, Freddy is humorous, but the idea of dying in your sleep, or being able to bring something out of your dreams? Scary stuff

Most disturbing? Audition and Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Both of these actually had me thinking about them for days. Audition's pretty low key, but that last half hour... and Henry, which is very low budget, is just disturbing and depressing.

I have lots of other favorites, probably in every conceivable category - I have quite an obsession

Audition was REALLY bad at the end. I like the end of The Omen, haven't seen the sequels yet.

We used to have a cheesy "B" movie night once a month. The winner is the one who picked the worse groaner of the bunch. The prize is bragging rights. Any suggestions?

We used to do something similar, but we called them "Deserve to Die" parties.

Hmmm - there's so many

A personal favorite of mine is "Hell of the Living Dead." It's a bad one from Italy about zombies that are "created" on an island, and this group of people trapped on the island (military and non-military mix).

Some classic parts include:
- the female reporter, strumming her hand in a pond, and the zombies begin to arise (they're the slow sort). She, to her camera guy : "do you think this is a leper colony? Maybe we should run?"
- stock footage of maggot eating zombies
- the same female, an "expert" on the natives because she lived with them for 6 months, is going to go amongst them to find out what's going on. So, she rips open her shirt for the gratuitous camera zoom.

That does sound bad in a really funny way. You should try "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things". When I was about 6 years old it scared the crap out of me. I saw it again as an adult. Wow is it bad.

Oh, that sounds fantastic! Them was on the other day, almost watched it...almost.

I love movies that are beyond ridiculous like that.

A question for all-

In Elementary school (say 3rd-4th grade) what did you like to do at recess? Was it swings, slides, jungle gym, tag, dodgeball, chase the girls/boys, secret clubs, or something else? And at that time were you a more of a rabble rouser, peace maker, teacher's pet, dork, class clown, smartass, social butterfly, or loner?

Oh, I've seen that one - totally, totally bad, although I adore the title

Mostly games around the jungle gym, and a lot of running. We used to do relay races all the time. I was probably a combination teacher's pet/loner

I was this really weird mix (if I can recall my 10 year old self) of teacher's pet, loner, smartass, and dork. I didn't really become a social butterfly until I was an adult.

I liked the monkey bars and foursquare.

For all three of you; 1)What would you be doing if you weren't working for Eden?

and 2)What is your dream job?

OK, I know Stormy doesn't want kids. I don't know if Sammi has any (sorry, I lost track) but if you don't do you want them? JR, do you think you want kids someday?

Hmm, good question. I'd either be looking for work or trying to figure out how to make the household run on a single income. I was a housewife for three years before Eden and I'd probably return to it.

My dream job? This is it. I get to design things and my input matters and I never had that in the companies I worked for in the past. I feel needed here. What more can I person ask for when it comes to their job?

And yep, no kiddos for us. Just not something I feel I want or need in my life.

Cool.

It's good to feel needed in your job. It's one of the things that keeps me doing what I do, too.

There's definitely something to be said about the teacher's pet loners who played four square...

That's me too!

I honestly don't know what I'd be doing if I wasn't working for Eden.

For kids? I dunno. If they happen, they happen. It's not a driving desire for me to reproduce...plus I think there would be protests...

Hey, remember when kids played at recess on concrete, asphalt, gravel, and wood chips? Man, those were the days!

Designing and coding websites, most likely

My dream job would be to be a full-time writer/director of horror films, and possibly work with special effects.

I've got two, that are getting to the puberty stage faster than I'd like .
