I don't get to read as many reviews as I would like to as much anymore. Mainly, because when I was a contributor I could spend eight hours on the site and not bat an eye and do nothing but read reviews. I still write a couple every month, which is plenty.
I think the biggest thing for me that has changed as far as preferred review styles is I've become quite fond of brevity. If you can get your point using few words, I'm much more likely to read the entire thing and vote. I just don't have the time to read very, very detailed reviews. If it's a toy I'm really interested in, then I'll skim to the experience section and make my decision that way. I still feel people should embrace whatever voice and style they are most comfortable with.
