What was your most recent culinary failure?
I made a stew with goat meat, tamarind and star anise. I ended up overcooking it and it came out tasting like one taste. I know that sounds strange, but I couldn't taste the goat meat, nor the tamarind (which I love), nor the anise, nor any of the veggies. It just tasted like....I dunno but it wasn't good. Had I pulled it off the stove an hour earlier, it probably would have been really good.

For both of you, a random one. What's your favorite footwear?
I actually hate wearing shoes of all kinds. I would rather go barefoot as much as possible. I always wear shoes when I leave the house though. My favorite kinds of shoes are platform boots or shoes. I'm short, but like to pretend that I'm not so vertically challenged sometimes.

I kinda thought that would be the answer. I'd like to Serve more, My Man gets embarrassed sometimes when I do things like fill his plate for him etc. (Although he has no complaints about the cleaning and the laundry.) Sometimes I have to remind him I love doing things for him. (Of course, he has no problem with my Service in the bedroom! )

Huh. That almost sounds like this garlic spinach my aunt made once. Tasted neither like garlic or spinach. Although the key to her failure there I think was too much olive oil.

Honestly, it would be what I do now: write books and shoot photos for the books. With money being no problem, I wouldn't have to worry about publishing them, which is what the major difference would be. I guess I'm fortunate that what I do is exactly what I want to be doing.

That would be great. I'd love to see your books. Some kids books would rock, too.

What do you like to write the most?

Lol, that is cute!

Master loves when I do things for him, I guess I'm lucky that way. He has me do things like open his car door, always walk a pace behind him, etc. Little things like that are just so fun and fulfilling for me.

Though, he likes to cook a LOT, and I almost never get to. I get dibs on the laundry and dishes though. Lucky me. Ha!

I've heard a lot about your Man, and he sounds like a real gem. You're a lucky lady.

Zamberlan hiking boots. They are so damned comfy and well built.

That's my favorite part of being short; being able to wear heels and not look funny for being ridiculously tall. Although I lack the coordination to be that productive in platforms. It's apparently very amusing to watch me try to walk around in them lol.

It sounds wonderful.

He's a good guy, My Man.

You're a darn lucky lady, as well. M sounds like a wonderful man and a perfect partner for you.

I've been practising in heels for sooo long, and I feel like I'm never gonna get there! I'm the total opposite of you.

I write about ecology. As much as I've been enjoying exploring my creative side, I'm still a scientist at heart, and I live and breathe ecology.

People keep telling me I need to write kids books, but I've yet to wrap my mind around how to accomplish that.

Kids need to know about the environment, too. you write for kids the way you talk to them.

Well, the first time I ever met my Master, I was wearing red vinyl, and also kitty ears. He always thinks of me as his kitty, and he calls me his "red vinyl kitty" all the time. =^^= It stuck.

My heels don't go any higher than 4 or 5 inches, and they've got to have a relatively chunky heel or I sit most of the night because walking is still amusing. Lol.

I can walk in heels only if the heel is less than 2 inches. 5 would be awesome. Chunky heels I can do - but those seem a bit like platforms to me.

Vaccinium is the genus of huckleberries (and blueberries, cranberries, and lingonberries). The place in the world I feel most at peace is in the autumnal alpine huckleberry fields out here in the Northwest. "Vaccinium" is in homage to that feeling I experience once each year.

My two kids would tell you that the way I talk to them wouldn't go over too well in a book.
