In the end she goes over to ask them if they can help her do something, in front of one boys mother.. and the rest well I can't say....

Interesting. Did you think the title-- Just Watch Me-- was misleading? Or that the stories just didn't flow well together? (Which might be an issue with gathering previously published stories rather than soliciting new stories, I don't know.)

I liked it. It wasn't the best I've read, and some of the stories really grabbed me more than others. Maybe I wasn't in the mood to read erotica this last month, but I found the whole thing rather disjointed. There didn't seem to be a common theme to the works, or even enough great stories that stayed with me after I put the book down.

Did anyone else have any problems reading some stories over others. Or was that just me?

Oh, I think you're absolutely right! It's just guessing about the sides you don't know that makes it interesting.

Alys and Kristina, I think many people have more sides to them than just one. I know I do. Though I can't say that I've been to a sex club having sex with a whole bunch of people. lol

I don't know about Just Watch Me, but I had that problem with Hide and Seek. I had to skip some and go back to them at the end just to get them read for my review.

Being new to erotica, I found that the stories may not have been melded together perfectly. But I rather liked the "disjointedness" as it kept my interest throughout and less likely to skip stories because I already new the theme of them. If that makes any sense.

Both, maybe? The title made me think that it was more exhibitionist/voyeur, but it mostly wasn't. I think that you might have put into words what I was finding so hard to explain: there was no flow between the stories, no connection that made it easy to go straight from one story into the next.

How about anybody else lurking—is this your first time?

I think sometimes writing just doesn't pull you in quickly, and in short stories it kind of has to. They just aren't long enough for drawn out intros. On the other hand, sometimes it just happens that they catch you at the wrong time of day for that style of writing. For instance, something very cerebral when you are ready for a nap already.

No problem! I know as both a writer with 80+ stories in various anthologies and an editor of 2 (so far-- working on #3!) anthologies, that getting that sense of "flow" right is probably the hardest job for an anthology editor. It's a bit like putting together a puzzle-- finding the right stories and putting them in the right order. Of course, many, many readers don't read the stories consecutively and choose instead to read the stories out of order (based on the titles or authors or whatever), so there goes all that hard work!

Let's talk about the concept behind this book-- hot erotica to inspire real-life adventures. Do you think Violet Blue succeeded in that goal? Did the stories feel realistic and doable? Were you inspired by any of the stories you read?

Agreed. It does sound difficult, especially considering that you really have to remember what you have to work with.
