I love snowmageddons. The college I go to NEVER cancels class - but spring 2010 they did for TWO days because the entire city couldn't function with the snow.

If we get 1" of snow - they shut down the highways going in and out of town and the Air Force base shuts down too, etc. We literally have nothing here to move snow with or put sand on snow.

I think everything around here shut down for a few days. I know there were some Walgreens and other pharmacy type places that were only open for people to get medication the day after the storm because the managers never went home, they just slept in the store.

I think they're silly. I'd rather sit around in my robe cause it has pockets and I can keep my ID card in it when I'm at college. (The ID cards are our room keys, meal plans, money to use on campus, printing quotas, bus passes...LIFE. Never go anywhere without it.)

Mine either. I was there the year they had TWO snowdays. That had never happened before.
