haha! Well we noticed when we got on the highway and as soon as we hit 100 the wheel shakes like crazy.

It still drives perfectly straight though.

Depends. In today's vehicles - it ain't cheap. Older models between $100 to $200.

only if it's MPH if it's klicks then she's fine. Could be a misalignment of the tires as well

That too, or it just might need to be greased.

ha! Well first off, what speed rating are your tires? Not many are rated for over 75MPH. More than likely it is a balance issue. Problem is that most tire shops cannot balance them at that speed. Another possibility is that the Tie rods and or Ball joints could be loose. At that speed the force applied is tripled and any loose part will surely be felt.

Just drive 95 and you'll be fine.

Ya right. Tell that to Jordan B! He's a true Quebecer when it comes to driving.

I was afraid something might have happened on the drive up to our fishing spot. It's a really rough drive off the road to reach the lake.. I guess I'll have to get my dad or someone else to have a look at it. I dont know enough about speed ratings, tie rods or ball joints to be able to help...

Thanks though. I'll see what Jordan thinks about these possibilities when he gets home. He just left for work.

Sorry I missed this but just got through reading all of it. I guess since I have a Ford it's going to be harder for me to afford the tools I need. I've had problems under the hood where mechanics have told me the labor is more because the areas they need to get to they have to take out other parts to get to the problem. So Sad for me that I do not trust the mechanic I used to go to anymore. Well, I went to his father who retired. The son took over and is a crook.

Thanks for doing this DIY meeting Tim! I learned a lot.

It's pretty hard to find a reputable mechanic for sure, more often than not it is best to use the dealer.

As for the oil change, what make of car do you have? The only special tool you need would be the filter wrench. Give me your info and I'll see what I can find for you.
