I adore sushi! I'm also vegetarian (pescetarian) so it works out.
Do you like SUSHI??

I voted other. I LOVE spring rolls but I haven't tried much of the normal raw fish ones. The ones I have didn't have much taste to them but I love the ones with veggies.

I love it I could eat it everyday

We make it all the time. Love fresh fish!

I've never tried it since I don't like fish...

Eating Sushi with raw fish requires fresh seafood. Anything less than that, you will definitely have a bad experience and the taste will NOT be good. However, once you really experience fresh raw fish on or with rice, you will be hooked!

I love Sushi, can't get enough of it. I actually enjoy Sashimi even better, the fish without the rice, why Sushi is called Sushi. I even carry my own chopsticks bought special by a friend of mine all the way from Japan when he sang there in person.

I wish this thread could have a sticky note that points out that not all sushi has fish.

I love sushi, but it never seems to fill me up for very long no matter which kinds of rolls I get.

To prepare a sauce for eel or rolls (like the Caterpillar Roll), use this method.

2 or 3 oz. of your favorite soy sauce
3 or 4 tablespoons of (powdered sugar)
Place both ingredients in a pot and heat to a slow rolling boil. Don't be to aggressive in your boiling, but just keep it under control and just reduce the mixture to a thick consistency (your preference). During the reduction process, dip the tip of a spoon or one of your chopsticks and taste how sweet the sauce is. Add more powered sugar as needed for the level of your preferred sweetness. If it becomes too thick, just add a little water.
That's it; preparation time is about 10 minutes. I've seen it prepared this way in Sushi restaurants here in Seattle, WA and I've been doing it this way for over 10 years! Good Luck!

The thought of eating raw fish grosses me out. I am afraid of getting food poisoning.

Sushi is amazingly good. I'm not the best at making it, but I'm made rather tasty rolls with octopus and crab before, as well as your basic ebi and sake.
